A spark off the bench. Sucks the rest of the East has drama but ours is absolutely the worst

I haven't had a strong opinion about him but I happy for those of you who've been bringing up his name for a while here. Hope he can be something more than a chucker.

Needed a wing. Oubre is a wing. Legit has a shot to start. Glad to see Daryl doing business with a guy he didn't already have in Houston.
Doesn't this give them 16 contracts now? Petrusev is getting cut unless they have a trade somewhere.

Does Trez take up a roster spot despite being out for the season?
Is Green's contract guaranteed?

We're getting ridiculously good looking again. Morey is out of ideas and now he's cribbing off of Brett

Let's do our best to not become r/sixers.

Our team has trotted out the likes of Matisse Thybulle, Furkan Korkmaz, Danuel House, Danny Green's corpse, and Georges Niang to support from the perimeter over the last 3 seasons. We have no grounds to be picky.

He's not good, but he's athletic. Baby steps. Maybe one day they'll get a wing both good and athletic.

1 year vet minimum for a guy not coming off of an injury who just averaged a career high - tells you a lot about what the league thinks of his game...
he's been an empty calories scorer and below average 3pt shooter
meh - Korkmaz is a better shooter and turns it over less

Korkmaz couldn't average 20 PPG if he was given 35 MPG.

Maybe not but the occasional Korklord game could be 45pts with that much PT.

Let's see if Nick Nurse can get him to buy into a different approach. There's a lot to tap into with Oubre. He's certainly got talent, he can score so that's already a plus. I know this isn't saying a whole lot, but he's the most athletic wing we've had here in a long long time. This is a solid under-the-radar, low-risk/high-reward pick-up for us I think. With that being said, I've never liked the guy personally, but not because of his game. I've always thought he was a first class A-Hole, but that doesn't matter to me anymore at this point because he's going to give us some extra bite. He can be a jerk to the rest of the league while playing for us and I'm fine with that. Sometimes you need A-hole players on YOUR team. He replaces Georges Niang in that regard. Speaking of Niang, Oubre is certainly an upgrade in my opinion.
I'm not going to say that this move puts us back in the talks of contenders, but I do feel a whole lot better now with him here than I did before. I think we've patched up the wing position as best as we possibly could have by adding both him, and Green to a lesser extent.
Tucker, Harris, Green, House, Oubre, Reed. That's a nice group of F/PF's to work with for Nick Nurse.
You add competent/scrappy defenders at the guard position in Beverly and Melton and things don't look all that bad.
With Harden
Harden/Beverly/Springer
Maxey/Melton/Korkmaz
Tucker/Oubre/House/Green
Harris/Reed
Embiid/Bamba
Without Harden
Maxey/Beverly/Korkmaz
Melton/Springer/Green
Tucker/Oubre/House
Harris/Reed
Embiid/Bamba
