Is the 76ers plan to sign the raptors

So it looks they have enough cap room for a max cap slot and something damn near close to it. They already have a pg and a center. The best sh that would sign with them is buddy hield. The coach is Nick nurse.

Maxey
Mle shooter
OG
Siakam
Embiid.

Who are the other targets they could be looking at? Kawhi and pg don’t look like they’re leaving imo

I keep hearing people speculate on the Sixers adding multiple top tier free agents next summer, but the math just doesn't support it.

The projected cap is $142M. Embiid and Maxey are the essentials. They have cap holds totaling $64M. Even if they manage to trade or release Tucker ($11.5M), Reed ($7.7M), Springer ($4.0), Petrusev ($1.9m), and next year's first, there would still be around $10M in incomplete roster charges. That would mean gutting the roster for $68M in space, enough for one max and one second tier FA. From there they'd have the room exception (not the full MLE) and minimums. Regardless of which FAs they get that's an incredibly mediocre roster.

I think they're definitely looking at trying for those 2 guys. Probably already has a deal in place for 1 or both of them. They're projected to have about 73 million in space, and I'd assume very heavily banking on the fact that Tucker is still a movable asset as is Reed.

His Harden plan with Simmons (either trading for him or getting him that offseason) shows that he has a specific plan in mind. It's not exactly an offseason with several Superstars available where just having cap for the sake of having cap is going to excite the fan base. Plus they could always bring Tobias back on a friendlier deal if there just get 1 guy.

But what if Reed balls out this year? I think the frontcourt with Reed and Joel will do pretty well.

At least we’re real curious to see it in action.

Far more interested in OG than Pascal.

You guys should really consider offering Maxey + Tobias + Pick for Dame tbh

I don't know why you aren't in the Dame trade sweepstakes. Embiid + Dame would be a lethal combo and i'd think Dame would welcome it.

Portland just drafted Scoot. Dame and Harden together would be terrible.
