Paul Reed Appreciation Thread

Post#1 » by Embiid P » Sat Jul 6, 2024 5:40 pm

Well, folks, it appears that the Paul Reed Victory Tour has officially reached its end in Philadelphia. Obviously the highlight of his career was locking down GIannis during that one stretch a few years ago. Like I said, high energy athletic guy and a fan favorite, but lacks the offensive skillset and B-ball IQ needed to be anything more than an undersized back-up center in the NBA. That said, good luck wherever you end up, buddy. I'm sure you'll get a warm reception upon your return to Philly as an opponent.

Love BBall Paul, but Bona will offer a lot of the same and knows who he is. Best of luck to you in and out of the mud!

Love BBall. Good luck to him and I'll root for him anytime he isn't playing us.

He's a good player and will carve out a nice career. We just didn't have room for him now due to cap and roster constraints.

Game 4 of the Nets series and Game 1 of the Celtics series were both awesome.

Paul Reed got so much undeserved love. Glad we have finally moved on.

I like Reed a lot, think he's underrated by some here, and think that he'll have a solid career-- especially if he keeps developing the 3P for volume and gets more play as a forward. Best wishes, B-Ball Paul.

Greatest nickname there will ever be - hell, he's named after the sport itself.

Best of luck to a really fun player. I guess his Victory Tour is officially over.

Fun nickname, best wishes to him.

Never was a fan of his actual game though, glad I don't have to see that broke looking jumper again.

You can accept his obvious limitations as a player yet still appreciate the energy he brought to the team and fanbase. The same way that Boban Marjanovich who despite being a perennial bench warmer was still a fan favorite wherever he ended up. Which is why he's making more money doing commercials than he ever made as a player.

You are both entitled to your opinion, but boo to both of you.

Always wanted the best for this guy and I will continue to root for him and hope he continues to improve and becomes a better player and has a great life on and off the court.

I think he could still go on to have a MonSpeights type career elsewhere with continued work and a good opportunity

Will he be signed? How much do you think is he gonna get?
