** Official 2025 Trade Deadline Thread **
Trade deadline is next Thursday at 3pm ET so here's a dedicated thread re:what the Sixers should/will do.
I'll start.
Andre Drummond should never play another minute for this team and needs to be out of town by the deadline. Hopefully someone will take him. He's been awful this year and we can't have his salary clogging our books next season.
What should the Sixers do at the deadline? What are they rumored to do?
Time's yours...

We should trade him for someone with a short fuse like Eubanks. He has no game but will get into opponents skin.Arsenal wrote:Trade deadline is next Thursday at 3pm ET so here's a dedicated thread re:what the Sixers should/will do.

Re: ** Official 2025 Trade Deadline Thread **
I've seen chatter that Ayo Dosumnu might be available. Would be a nice backcourt mate for either Maxey or McCain (once he's back) but I don't see why Chicago would deal him since he's only 25. Also would probably cost more than we want to pay considering he's on a decent contract ($7m per) for one more year.

Morey will probably make a deal, cause that's what he does.
I just don't see why we would make a deal, unless it's a really good one. I would love to see an athletic 3pt shooting PF/C, but those are expensive.

I think K Martin and Drummond are the most likely ones to be traded as either salary dumps or we throw a pick or two to get a player who’s more likely to contribute.
It’s a shame K Martin’s been injured because I thought he played well.
Drummond on the other hand…

We almost beat the Nuggets last night on a back to back and Drummond is a solid locker room guy, so keep this group we have and allow them to gel.Iscull wrote:I think K Martin and Drummond are the most likely ones to be traded as either salary dumps or we throw a pick or two to get a player who’s more likely to contribute.

Re: ** Official 2025 Trade Deadline Thread **
I think trading for Colin Sexton would be a big help in securing a playoff spot. He’d give us another offensive engine to lighten Maxey’s load, which is exactly what we need right now. There seems to be a logjam at the G position for the Jazz with Colier, Keyonte, Clarkson and Sexton. I also think a Maxey-Sexton-George would be a soft big 3 without Embiid, specially against non top teams.
For the backup center spot, I’d look for a cheap but reliable option to replace Drummond. Nance would be great, but I worry he overlaps with Yabu. Most teams pair a big center with an undersized one, and I haven’t seen two undersized centers work well together.
And if we’re expecting Embiid and George to be healthy soon, Grayson Allen should be the top target.

It's not about age but passion. I take a passionate 40 year old like Lebron then some 23 year old bum all day!snoopy13 wrote:Sixers need to trade for picks or players around 23 years old
It's all about the passion to play hard!

^ Grayson Allen will cost us KJ Martin and either Oubre or Caleb Martin. If the team believes that Council and Justin Edwards can fill the void left my Martin, then I can see a trade like that going down.
Deni Avdija is also in that range and I'd much rather have him, bit I do like Grayson Allen and what he brings to a team.

Kwame for Gasol erasure. Another Lakers/NBA hit job.
