0 excuse for Nick Nurse to not be fired - tired of his defenders.

Any other coach, 76ers would be near .500 or ahead. If the 76ers want to get better they need to fire Nurse.

coach is the easiest to move on from....and generally the first

players are hurt, bad or somehow both and he hasn't had a full lineup all year.

THAT BEING SAID even taking the human element out of it from a pure basketballl standpoint Idk what the scheme even is rn. They force Biid or Yabu post ups when we have no good passers, they slow walk the ball up and no one seems to know where to stand. Some creativity could use Maxey's speed more, use PG as a screener or coming off screens, ect. When Biid came back they used him at the top of the key while Yabu or Oubre cut and it was automatic....haven't used it since. The PNR is gone. And that between the legs to maxey play is money yet....we go away from it for the slow walk up throw it to Biid and hope he works his magic....which happens less and less. On Defense, our zone is **** and we seem to scheme the best shot in basketball the corner 3 wide open, tonight we decided to send two to Scottie Barnes at all times and he simply made the easy read every time. Just bad process all over

but who cares lol. season is over and I am sure Nurse will leave once its over because everything is over. Morey out, Myers in and the rebuild starts via either a Biid trade or him getting the surgery and basically being out the whole year in a year in which we own our own pick too.

Nick Nurse is probably 4th in the list of reasons why we lose the game against the Raps.

At some point you have to ask why Doc Rivers and Tobias are doing better right now? Maybe they both aren’t the problem.

Might be higher - he really makes no adjustments during the game. He’s much like Doc Rivers — He was in the right place at the right time “he” won his championship.

Im usually not a fan of how much traps we run, but we forced 17 TOs. We got 4 more offensive rebounds. 9 more shot attempts. And got a clean look to win it down the stretch.

It'd be nice if Morey and Nurse both left, but I don't see them giving up three years salary, and ownership isn't going to fire them and eat that much money.

If they have another year like this next year... then that possibility is on the table IMO.

Would certainly be on board with Bob Myers as the successor here.

Firing Nurse, as much as he deserves it for being the stone opposite of the mad scientist innovator we thought we were getting, is not even putting a band aid on the issues this franchise has right now.

Only a complete and total reset, meaning eliminating Embiid, George, the rest of the useless vets on the roster, the coaching staff, the training staff, and the entire front office, and starting from scratch will remove the disease that has infected this franchise for the last half decade plus.

Morey did backed out on his commitment to pay Harden his max contract which many fans were happy on due to his lack of offseason conditioning and choking in the playoffs, so that was a bright spot. No such thing as playoff beard.

I think this thread is putting the blame on the wrong guy! This is Morey’s team he put them together. He paid George 200 mill. He extended an injured Embiid. He is the one who should be fired.
I’d be ok with starting all over, but not with the current decision makers. Morey should be the first one fired.

The beard would have gotten more with a 5 year max, so we saved money plus an extra year. Most of us wanted Playoff P, so we all need to be blamed, not just the GM for listening to the fans demands like not resigning Tobias, who wanted to stay. I wanted Brandon Ingram on his expiring contract this past offseason but we had to give up a pick and than offer him an extension to fill our open max spot cause once we gave Maxey got his max afterwards, that reserve max spot money is gone cause no other big name was available at the time.

What is going on with the ownership?

There are zero excuses for Nurse for hating young players. Why is Ricky Council a DNP now after having some nice performances? Why did he play Lowry, Reggie Jackson, and Eric Gordon so much? These guys are among the worst defenders in the entire NBA. Why didn't he play Bona until he absolutely had to? And Bona is developing into a useful piece, unlike Drummond who is useless at this point.
There is also a solution for PG. Bench him and make him earn a rotation spot. Embiid doesn't have to get this many minutes if he is not well.
The worst thing is that Nurse seems to understand the game, he is just very rigid and sticks to some ideas no matter what. For example, it seems to me that he would rather lose than play Ricky Council if he is not forced to haha. Because he probably gets crazy irritated when Ricky makes a dumb mistake, and does not ackowledge all the good things that he does.
But this may play into our favour as we were not going to win a championship anyway, and now we are unintentionally tanking.
