Game 55: Sixers Vrs Celtics (In our house).

Post#1 » by ExplosionsInDaSky » Thu Feb 20, 2025 4:46 pm

So this is probably our last chance to put it together and push for the postseason. The thing is, I can see us beating Boston tonight only to go on and lose 4 of the next 5 games. The M4 Sherman in me would prefer to lose and force an end to this psychological war otherwise known as the 24-25 season. It truly has been confusing. Now, if we somehow beat them?!?! It's going to possibly recreate some false hope. With that in mind, I predict a mercy kill from the C's as they begin to lock in on their inevitable repeat.
Boston 127 Philly 110.

False hope? For who, for what?

How many damn times does Charlie Brown need to have Lucy pull the ball away before he finally gets it?

Lonnie Walker, Quentin Grimes, Justin Edwards, Jared Butler...

I prayed for times like these (fun, athletic bargain bin young guys that we plucked out of nowhere), and now they're here with the worst team we've had since the process years.

We'll probably win this one. Can't tank correctly.

One thing about Embiid is this year he's looked like he's taking his conditioning far more seriously than ever in his career. He doesn't look horrible and winded in his first game back after weeks long layoffs. He will probably play well tonight. Too bad this change and seriousness has happened in a year where his knee doesn't want to cooperate.

I feel more like Pigpen from all the dirty **** done to me by this organization. Been sold nightmares in the form of dreams. Still...We beat Boston, go on a streak and they'll pull me right back in. It's a sickness. So frustrating...Like legless midgets trying to duck.

I want to see us demolish and demoralize the Celtics tonight. 40-point victory. Then lose out. We aren't winning this year without a 100% healthy Embiid, but I'd like to scare the Celtics and make them glad that we're injured all the time.

Embiid can't move in the paint without falling

Drummond being absolute trash is a sneaky reason we suck this year

This is the least interest I have had in a Sixers team since the Process years, except I had more optimism for a light at the end of the tunnel then.

No worries about the tank, Nurse is clueless about this team :).
He doesn't understand that the hustle of Council and Bona is the secret sauce for this team. Plays Drummond lol.
