First quarter takeaways:

1) Maxeys work around the rim is noticeable. Getting a lot of tough shots to fall.

2) VJ is legit. Having another creator who is a plus defender makes a monster difference. Good job Morey.

3) Dillingham is a baller.

4) Embiid looked okay and played about 8 minutes from the jump. Didn’t hate the Bona / Embiid rotation.

5) Would like to see more Broome

Add healthy PG and McCain to healthy Embiid, Maxey and VJ and the East is a LOCK!

So we still have no starting forward outside PG.Just Oubre and a bunch of undersized PFs. Edwards looked invisible.

Barlow may be the best fit at the 4 from what i have seen so far. I get wanting to start Adem but the spacing is terrible with him , VJ and Oubre on the floor together, hes also a poor rebounder.

The 3 guard lineup looked pretty good all-around.

Watching Dillinger play you see what true playmaking guard looks like. Something we dont have.

Im hoping Grimes or Vj can knock down a couple 3's in the 2nd half.

Missing PG and Mccain accounts for some of the shooting and playmaking we are lacking. PG on the wing and Mccain off the bench.

Going to see if there's some way to block every post on the sixers forum that mentions Dylan Harper or Ace Bailey. We got what we got and aint gonna change.

Once we get PG back we can start Bona + Embiid with no issues. Everyone else on the floor will be a volume 3PT shooter.

Nurse might be serious about the Bona/Embiid starting lineup. Whether or not that's the long-term solution is TBD. PG might actually be our starting 3.
