Imagine if they just had Shaq or Garnett...with this current team. It's a shame the franchise wasn't good during that time frame, but I can't picture Iverson as a victim there. He's got all the talent in the world around him now...he should win one or two championships if he's truly one of the all time greats.

Not really, it isn't that easy.
1) He isn't as good as Tim Duncan
2) His team around him isn't as good as Duncan has.
Nash has the same problem.
As good as Doc was we couldn't beat the Lakers until we added Moses. Sometimes even if you are a terrific player with a good supporting cast there is just a team that is better.

However, the Nuggets are one of those teams the Sixers have potential to do well against. They do not play good defense. The Sixers will likely get a lot of easy buckets and that tends to raise their spirits. Also, the Sixers are much better on defense now and the Nuggets tend to settle for 3-point shots against good defense. Also, AI might be a little too high for the game and play extra badly.
the nuggets dont play good D thing is so old and not true. just a myth.

George Carl inthe paper today:
I guess, since he leads the leage in minutes- he rarely if ever has to practice. I guess that takes care of the whole practice issue.
Seriously, though, I am happy he is thriving in Denver, and only wish he was teamed up with a greart big man like KG- that would have been something special to watch.
And never mind all the legendary stories about "practice . . . we're talkin' about practice." Karl said the number of practices Iverson has missed is "less than one hand, where he's taken a practice off. Less than five, other than the normal NBA, where a guy plays 40 minutes the night before and you say, 'Hey, just rest your body.' Less than five where you wanted a good practice and he was one of the guys who was saying, 'Hey, my body hurts today.' "
