what do you think. He is currently in the top ten in rebounding and 18th in scoring. Many forget b/c of his current system, that he is a legit low post scorer, in fact that's is where he cut his teeth at UNC and Golden State. I think he would be a nice fit next to Sam and can fill it up from anywhere. Will he be too expensive? He gets 16 right now. Are their better options for the price?

He'll be 32 by the time next season starts. Not a good fit long term.

He'd be worth the risk if he's available after we already grab our Stoudemire, Brand, Gasol type PF.

If we could sign him for less than $10 Million why not. He'd be a very solid six man. We really have no chance of getting him though.

While I think I have been somewhat open to Jamison in the past, if we are going to keep Miller, then I say no...we can't have TWO guys of that age in our starting lineup if we are building for the future...and I think that Miller can/will age more gracefully (read: continue to play at a reasonably productive level) than Jamison will.

I don't like Jamison NOT because he's not a good player, but, he's a good player with AGE. What's the rush? I personally disliked the Flyers's one turn around off-season plan, they're gonna get old, then they're gonna have to get under the cap again.

Just sign some more young players to add to the rotation, slowly bulid it up

A healthy Brand is a good option, but there is no guaruntee on that...risky signing.

LeBron and Wade will never be a Sixer even if we had 100 million in cap space. Jamison would be a nice option on our team but people are going to get hung up on the age and write him off.

I think you should just stop watching the Sixers then. Wade or LeBron will never be Sixers. Ever.

He's a player with too many miles on him for the road that we have to travel in order to contend. He'll break down before we reach our destination so I would pass on him.

I think he'll stay with the Wiz.

The money should go to either Stoudemire or Dwight Howard. I would pay everything I had to get one of them.

If you look at "Top power forwards" that Stefanski may be targeting and creating cap space for, the list appears to be quite short.

Smith- very young, improving. My guess is that he is the alleged target.

Stoudemire- could he be the surprise target? Not likely, but this alleged top PF may be easier to trade for.

Any other trade targets? A team next summer may need cap space and we would be prime trade candidates.

Stoudemire is probably the Sixers biggest caviar dream at this point and the only reason theres even a prayer of that happening is because the Sun's are closer to the tax threshold than Courtney Love is to vicadin. At this point, I'd be surprised if Dwight Howard doesn't retire in Orlando. He's not going anywhere.

Howard is going nowhere. He'll become the best player in the league, perhaps even better than Lebron, when he reaches his prime.

Looking at all PF's, this is how I would break it down. Bolded players are guys I either like or guys I could see as targets.

The PF trade options will probably be these guys (not saying I like them all and they are in no order). These are the guys I can possibly see being available in trades.

1 - Stoudamire
2 - Marion
3 - Gasol
4 - Wilcox
5 - Odom
6 - Gooden - I hope not
7 - Villanueva - hope not
8 - Nene - too costly?
9 - Al Harrington - hate this guy
10 - Z. Randolph - I might have to find a new team
11 - Murphy - likely not a good fit
12 - Haslem - decent player, but not the answer
13 - David Lee - NY is unreasonable in trade demands
14 - Milsap - don't see Utah dealing him
15 - Diaw - makes too much
16 - Collison - not the answer, but a decent player

These are your PF FA (or potential FA) options...

1 - Brand
2 - J. Smith - more a SF
3 - Okafor - more a C (at least that's his best position on D and O)
4 - Krstic - a Stefanski draft pick. Will he be 100%?
5 - J. O'Neal - no thanks
6 - Jamison - too old?

Gomes is a FA after this year i beleive...
he isnt the BIG name i want but i wouldnt mind seeing us grab him if we could afford it.

Dwight Howard just signed a contract extension through 2013. It's going to be a while before we can dream about him.

I'd add Brandon Bass to the young ones list. He is stuck behind Nowitzki in Dallas and is a big body with a low post game and a decent jumper. To me the guy who makes the most sense, both in quality and acquirability is Shelden Williams. To me he has the potential to be Brand light. Don't let the forehead cloud your judgement.
