Thad's stats just aren't impressive enough to prevent these uninformed comments from people who haven't seen very much of him. As his playing time continues to increase, his value around the league will too.

Hoopsword has some of the worst writers. There was a guy last year Libero Smith (sp?), or something like that, who covered the Sixers. Every article he worte was filled with incorrect information or just stupid analysis. I posted a topic for a few of his dumb articles. I remember one where he ripped King over the fact that he didn't resign Joe Smith and we had all this cap room to do it. The guy was completely misinformed about what direction the team was going it. He obviously thought they were trying to win now vs. rebuild. Anyhow, not sure if this was written by the same guy, but I don't expect the other writers to be much better.
As far as the pick thing. Why would you debate us taking Glen Davis over Thad. Why not at least debate us picking Smith over Davis. Or better yet, debate us not keeping the 30th pick and using that on Davis. How you going to argue that Davis was worth pick 12? Maybe I'm missing something from this. Also, Davis has been incredible? Really?...I wonder what is being used to determine that since he barely plays.

I liked Davis going into the draft and believed that he was a sure fire pro, but the POTENTIAL of what Thad can offer as a pro and even the potential of Jason Smith far outweigh Glen Davis who will be a solid bonafide pro while Jason Smith could ultimately end up as a bust. Thad doesn't look like a bust and he is a SF that believes in getting easy buckets around the Hoop so that somewhat offsets the fact that Davis is a PF, a position that is of greater importance than a SF...
I don't like how Jason Smith has obviously lost confidence since the start of the season, he is timid on the court now.

Sendem: Rookies have their walls, and Jason Smith's just not shooting well right now. I think a fast break dunk, or a wide open jumper will get him back into the mix...Or this will.
Reggie Evans DOES NOT deserve to start. His rebounding can be had off the bench. Giving the young kid a chance allows him to elevate his game. I've said it time and time again that Maurice Cheeks takes credit for the players hard work and no else. He's a horrible in-game coach.

There's nothing to debate here. Hoopsworld seems to have a knack for allowing extremely bad "reporters", and I use that word loosely, to post ridiculous columns on their site.
If that column or any of the other ones The Sixer Fixer has referenced were posted as a thread here... that "reporter" would get ripped a knew a$$ho1e by most of us.
Can we as collective group agree that referencing Hoopsworld from this point on is a bad idea???
