Trevor Ariza breaks foot in practice

The real story here is not that he actually broke his foot but he was KNOWN to have a degenerative foot condition that was said to UNDOUBTEDLY one day end his CAREER EARLY. This was the REAL reason why Orlando gave him away. The Lakers took a chance on him and his foot condition and the foot actually broke. This is like TJ Ford and his spine condition. I do feel for those athletes like these two who are fulfilling there dreams but have something that they can't fix by simply putting in more practice time setting them back and limiting them.

Yes...most althletes are one twist away from changing/ending their careers.
Does this create a need for a bench wing player with the Lakers? They have a lot of guards, but really didn't seem that deep at the SF position. Bynum is a much bigger impact, but this hurts their depth as well.
