check the latest WT article about O'Brien and Webber-i feel ill - Imagine if Webber had only done his job. what we could have done. All of this focus on AI and yet Chris was our real anchor literally and figuratively. I feel a bit guilty for being happy that O'Brien left.

"Webber didn't practice at all that year prior to coming to us," O'Brien said. "He didn't practice at all the previous six weeks. I think he was just at the point where he didn't necessarily feel where he was in need of practice, or could practice, or couldn't practice and play at the same time."

"He said, 'Coach, I don't do the low-post thing anymore,"' O'Brien recalled. "We just made a major trade to bring in this 6-11 guy and he said, 'No.' I said, 'Yes, you do."'

I saw that last night. Just typical of Webber's character. All that crying about being in a rebuilding situation and saying he wants to win a championship more than anyone is negated by comments like "I don't do the low post thing anymore," along with considering playing in Europe for a lucrative one year deal. I'm glad we let him walk.

Webber is another player not getting the most out of his talent. He has no passion, and simply plays for the paycheck.

But really though. BK should have done his homework. What O'Brien said pretty much summed up how bad BK was:

1) "What we didn't know, or what I didn't know at the time, was that the previous two years, Sacramento's record with Webber in and Webber out [of the lineup] was shockingly different."

The Kings were 38-31 when Webber played during that span. They were 51-16 when he didn't."

Um, how could you not? That's a pretty evident thing.

2) "Webber didn't practice at all that year prior to coming to us,"

How didn't the Sixers know that? And if they didn't, how did the Kings actually keep this secret?

3) 'Coach, I don't do the low-post thing anymore."

There's got to be some indication of that, assuming BK and Co actually watched Kings games. Also, they've got to have scouted him prior to making that trade because microfracture surgery he had before.

Duh...he wasn't playing either. When he came back from his surgery he didn't practice because the word was his knee would swell. On the 2nd night of a back to back...he was toast.

Yeah Webber has a bad attitude but by the time he made it to Philly he wasn't the same player he was in Sacramento by a long shot. Why three years to make a statement? How gay is that?

I used to love this guy.

The first thing I remember of CWebb as a Sixer, (remember, I'm the a$$hole who ordered the CWebb authentic for $300 the day after we got him....and paid the Oxford Valley Mall store to rush that beeatch, money no object, we got CWEBB!!!) ...was his first game, first possession, I'm at the bar with my boys on like a sat. night, he gets the ball and instantly pulls up, past the top of the key, for a long jumper. I remember thinking, nice, a big guy who can jump shoot.

Then I instantly remember thinking, JUST WHAT WE NEED, *ANOTHER* $$@#@#@# JUMPSHOOTING PF!

i had the same feelings. this article sucks because it confirmed my worst fears..that he didnt care..

his whole career he came up short..doubt he makes the hall now, because he will always be known as "what could have been", rather that what he acomplished

anyway i have no regrets about the trade..the kings are still on the hook for Kenny Thomas for another 2 years
