Sounds like we can eliminate him from any FA discussion.

Brand and Maggette will have the chance to opt out of their contracts and become free agents at the end of the season, but Sterling said he's not concerned.

"One, based on my conversation with Elton, he's not going to opt out," said Sterling. "And two, whatever he asks for, I think he deserves. He is our franchise player, we need him. You saw a short time ago we were pretty close to being a special team, and now without him you see how difficult it is."

what is he going to say in an interview?

He sucks. I refuse to pay a dime over $10 million a year and even at that price I'm hesitant to resign him.

all depends on whether Brand wants to stay. You don't get ot be a free agent to often. if he wants to leave, he can and possibly sacrifice dollars or get a S&T.

Resign him?? Are you talking from a Clippers perspective?

Either way, I never really bought into Brand being a legitimate option for us when you consider that he's now a movie producer and if he left LA, it would probably be for a contender and not a team that is 3 years away from competing.

I think the Lakers S and T for Brand this summer. He would be a very good fit there.

If the Clips want to keep Brand and are trying to win do you think they would want Miller? Miller Green and Carney for Cassel Livingston Williams Davis and a Protected 1st or a 2nd? We receive all expiring contracts and it works salary wise.
