I know some posters like this system...Thad and Smith are both in the top 15 in rookie PER ratings. Thad is actually 3rd overall.

I like the PER system but I hate that David Thorpe is ESPN's guy for the Rookie Report. Thorpe is TERRIBLE!

i think both of these players will turn out to be very good players in the future. out of the top 3 player on the list i see thad as having the best NBA career.

So this rookie class hasn't had nearly the immediate impact it was supposed to.

I would say that the rookie class hasn't exactly lived up to the hype is got BUT.... the #1 pick never played a game and so I'm sure things would look a little better if Oden was around.

Is Oden a lock for ROY next year?

Still, the draft would have been expected to do pretty well even without Oden. Durant or Horford is going to win ROY but only by default. They've barely been above average starters so far.

Yi has at times been solid but players like Brandan Wright, Spencer Hawes, and Acie Law have had little impact on their teams.

the only reason why yi is solid is because he plays. the other players wright, hawes, and law have little time in the game to make an impact.
