I just came upon this article at philly.com and found it interesting.
Haven't seen it posted here yet. Brings up some interesting possibilities.

its really easy to dismiss the birdman but i feel he would be worth the risk. sign him and put him behind dalembert. i have read quite a bit about him and he has made a lot of effort to make it back in the league.
the drugs are an issue, from what i have read on boards and articles - he got caught up in a partylifestyle with acid, exstacy and speed but has been drug free sinc his suspension - thats 2 years. its a low risk - high reward situation. Sign him to a 10 day or for the rest of the year and release Giricheck or Shav.
as for thabo - i doubt the bulls take back carney for him.
pietrus - we can't afford him and hes not a scoring machine that we ould need at the 2
Morris - i doubt I siah lets him leave - regardless he has shown absolutely nothing since becoming a pro
the birdman is the best option here b/c he would require the least amount of salary

Birdman is a worse player than anyone that we currently have on the roster. Why would we want him? Evans is 10 times better...

I don't mind seeing if he'll come in on a 10-day contract...but I don't want to take time away from guys like Smith or Young (or Hill, if he ever plays) to give to a guy who may just use the time with us as a league-wide audition for next season.
I wouldn't be surprised if a team signs him for the rest of the season (with a team option for '08-'09)...we know that - based on his draft record - that Stefanski has the stones to take guys that other teams may shy away from...and I would think that Anderson falls into that camp as well.
