Toronto in desperate need of rebounding big

After the Raps lost yet another close game last night vs. the Wiz, mainly due to Washington getting offensive boards, Toronto (fans especially) are cyring for a defensive big who can rebound the ball. Many of the fans want Sam, even if they have to give Bargnani back to Philly. What are your thoughts on Bargnani on this team? His "potential" is high but he will probably never be the protypical "5".

Another name that is being thrown around is none other than Reggie Evans. What would Philly want back for him?

I've been saying for a while that the best suitor for Dalembert and/or Evans is Toronto. I'm not sure what the Sixers would want back from Toronto, though.

Bear in mind that the Toronto board is the most reactionary, drastic, schizophrenic board on realgm. Also, when it comes to Bargnani, there's not a lot of patience there, although sometimes he does seem very lost out there (I've seen it first hand) but he's also had his moments of brilliance (more last year).

Bargnani will probably get his shot back and will be effective once again on the offensive end but I don't think he will ever be a good fit next to Bosh. Bosh needs a defensive center next to him so all he has to worry about is putting the ball in the hoop, which he does very well.

I think it basically boils down to the fact that both Bosh and Bargs are 4's, and Toronto probably knew that when they drafted Bargs and are just learning that it's not working.

How bout this trade:

Sam+Carney for Bargs+Rasho

Philly would need a first rounder. We're obviously putting Torono in a better situation.

There's a chance that Bargnani never turns into anything special. Sam is already a hard to find, kind of center. If he's(Bargnani)under pressure in Toronto, he'll probably quit in Philly.

I just can't see the Sixers dealing Dalembert.... especially within the division. Evans on the other hand is fair game and I imagine that it really wouldn't take much more than an expiring contract to get him at the deadline.

Here's a 3 way that I think help all...
Raps get Evans and Green
Sixers get Dixon and Humphries from Raps and JJ. Reddick from Magic
Magic get Joey Graham from Raps

Toronto get help on the boards with Evans and Green replaces Dixon scoring off the bench...Graham is not playing much and Humpries will lose time to Evans
Sixers get cap relief in Dixon, and two young prospects in Humphries and Reddick
Oralndo get a young swing man to back up the 2and 3 spot

I'm not sure, he's been pretty inconsistent...depends how much they need the rebounding I guess and right now they do.

Delfino is playing alot and fits in with Toronto's outside shooting team who likes to spread the offense out with 3 point shooters

1) Three way deals in the middle of the season are extremely unlikely

2) The Raps give up too much

3) I don't believe this has to become anything more than a simple deal like PrimeTime21 proposed.

I like the idea of moving Evans and starting Jason Smith. I think it would also help free up more minutes for Thad at the 4 plus more minutes for Carney who needs to show that he offers SOMETHING to an NBA team.

Moving Evans out for an expiring should mean bumping our cap space up to somewhere around $$16-$17MIL which as Borat would say is.... very nice.

Dalembert is a far better player than Bargs and Bargs is not even young enough to overlook his weaknesses. The man is 22 not 19. He's shooting.375% for 2's and .375% from 3. Jason Smith looks like as good a prospect as Bargs ESPECIALLY when you factor in the fact that he isn't in a great position to be overpaid like a #1 pick overall.

I don't think the Raps have to worry about that just yet. If Bargnani doesn't show much over the next 2 and a half years, he's not going to get overpaid. Either way, it's not the potential of having to overpay him that makes me lose interest but it's his lack of consistency.
