With the reserves being announced last night and the bus to the Big Easy now at capacity, who do you feel was the most blaring snub from each conference?
Representing the West
Iverson
Bryant
Melo
Duncan
Yao
Nash
Paul
Dirk
Boozer
Amare
Roy
West
Representing the East
Kidd
Wade
Lebron
KG
Howard
Bosh
Butler
Pierce
Billups
Rip
Johnson
Jamison
I'm going with one of tonight's opponents in Turkoglu as the East's biggest snub w/ Ray Allen as a close 2nd. While I do think the Big 3 has performed at a high enough level to warrant all three to represent the East this year, the Magic's record wouldn't be where it is without Hedo's play. Not only has he been able to fill the stat sheet night in and night out, he's been their 4th quarter go-to guy and he's delivered. Howard receives the majority of the recognition for the Magic's surge this year (and deservingly so), but Hedo has possessed a savvy all season that has balanced Orlando's attack and his contributions have proven to be determinants in numerous Magic victories up to this point in the season.
In the West I'm going with Josh Howard. Its going to be interesting to see how the minutes are distributed with the plethora of big men on the roster (Duncan, Yao, West, Amare, Boozer, Dirk). The only real swing players representing the West this year are Roy, Bryant, and Melo. You could easily make arguments for Camby, B. Davis, and Deron, but theres already a surplus of bigs and point guards on the roster. Dallas currently owns the 3rd best record in the West (5th in the league). I personally believe Howard has been just as integral to his team's success as Dirk has and deserves to be recognized accordingly.
