Sixerfan1976...what is the word?

Sixerfan, things are happening left and right. AN insider on the Suns board had the O'Neal rumors and eventual deal, very impressive!

Hoopsworld is stating that Andre Miller is now the big name on the market. What are you hearing? WIll Evans and or Green go with him if something happens?

The PF market seems slim, could that position just be a smokescreen for Ed? Outiside of Villanueva and maybe Gooden, there seems to be few available.

Is Dalembert being shopped? Did Phx really inquire on him?

It should be an intersting 2 weeks.

Who is this "sixersfan1976" that you are speaking of? :-)

He speaks of deals before they appear. He is able to see what mere mortals cannot. His presence causes the fans of 6er hardwood to stop in their tracks.

Not I. He was all over the Iverson deal and got props from me on that. However, the man was barely heard of before the Iverson deal and barely heard from since the Iverson deal so don't count on getting an answer.

Then again, he did say that his boy still works for the Sixers even after BK got canned so who's knows.

Thanks for the link, ST. It's an interesting read I wonder if the Bulls really would have interest in Miller considering that they seem almost (not quite) as far from being contenders as we are. Who would have thought that coming into this season??

Either way, I would certainly trade Miller for Hinrich in half a second.

Would you guys have any interest in Ike Diogu? The Pacers need a new PG.

Diogu is nice... but not for Miller.

What about moving Miller in a 3-way deal? I just wish we could be a fly on the wall in Ed's office to know just what is being offered and what is not.

ed said on wip about 2 weeks ago that the offers he's received for miller include an expiring and a late first round pick...he then said that is not nearly enough for miller using the korver trade as the exact same thing (saying miller has much more value than korver)

he said he expects the original deal w a good young player to move miller...if not (and he seems to be not expecting to receive that) then he will hold him and try to win/extend him next year

If I think I know what Ed is doing, he's a smart guy for doing it. Take Miller off the table, wait for a few key teams to make some moves and then put him back on the table.

Let's hope that's what hes doing.

Perhaps this will be like the baseball trading deadline and some team will step up and pay a big price for Miller.

You would think Orlando or Cleveland would step up and make Ed an offer he cannot refuse. Same with Dalembert, some team may blow Ed's socks off.

Based on what Ed claims to be seeking, I don't see Cleveland as a partner...there's nothing to take back. Orlando has Fran Vazquez and expiring deals, but I don't know if Vazquez is worth it or not. He looks pretty skilled for a big man, but is he a legit player?? is he going to come over??

Miller is a huge upgrade for the Magic, but I don't know what they would offer.

Orlando are more than likely trying to pawn off Jameer Nelson+expirings.

Nelson just signed a new deal...leave him in Florida.

Not that I'm a big fan but Nelson's deal really isn't that bad if you believe he's capable of being the starting PG for the the future. If you believe he's a player off of the bench, than you want to stay away from him.

Nelson's right on the fence for e. I'd be afraid of being wrong and paying him

Here are Nelson's numbers.

08-09: $5.5MIL
09-10: $6.1MIL
10-11: $6.7MIL
11-12: $7.3MIL
12-13: $7.8MIL

Again, those numbers aren't bad (actually pretty good) if you believe he'll be your starting PG during that time. I'm with Michael McDonald... errr... Johnny Broad-Street about being on the fence with me slightly leaning toward being for bringing him here.

Miller & Evans to Orlando for expirings, JJ, a pick and the rights to Vazquez.

Vazquez- a PF prospect we could use or deal his rights in the summer

Reddick- we give him a chance. If he produces it could be another Korver type of situation where we could flip him for a pick. In our athletic lineup using Young at the 4, JJ could provide a shooter that would further open up the cutting lanes.

I don't think anyone who needs Miller has any picks we need. Is anyone in the hunt holding another team's first? I haven't looked
