While I'm not in love with Mo's coaching... I don't hate him as a coach either. The only way the Sixers should change coaches, regardless of playoffs or not, is if there is someone on the market that Stefanski likes better. I'd hate to see Mo get canned and then we end up bringing in an inferior coach.

As for the Hollinger snippet you posted... eh. Hollinger really isn't an "insider" and is a numbers guy. His speculation about Miller being dealt is just that and so I'm not impacted by this making it in the NY Sun (what the hell is the NY Sun???).

After further review, I believe Mo should keep his job for at least two more years. Doc Rivers went from one of the worse coaches to possibly Coach of the Year! You need talent and players who will play hard every night for you. These players play hard and I would like to see how well he does with better talent in 1 or 2 years.

I don't think Mo is a good bench coach nor do I think that he has a flexible offensive philosophy that will work with the current group of players & the additions that will come. I'm also not too impressed with the way he wastes assets or with the lack of defensive improvement. IMO it's time for someone else to come in.

My feelings exactly. These players love him as a coach and they play hard for him. The wins will come with better players ...

He should keep his job even if they don't make the playoffs.

Mo's doing a good job imo...with the lack of talent we have he is getting the best out of the bunch...

i think with more time and better players he will be able 2 make us contenders.

We need better players. The hiring/firing of head coaches in Philly is ridiculous. We've had 5 different head coaches in the last decade.

Billy King should've kept: Randy Ayers, Jim O'Brien.

I really loved Jim's style of coaching. I just hated that oft-mysterious subbing pattern.

I don't think Jimmy O deserved to be fired, but I don't know that his style is really effective so I wasn't crying.

Mo hasn't done anything but get a group of kids, misfits and Andre Miller to play hard every night and learn to defend. That's better than most. Like TGP said...unless a slam dunk stud coach is available...let him do his job

His career win-loss percentage is just below average, however if you combine his entire 7 years in the NBA. 2 years he's made the playoffs, 3 years in the lottery(now working on a 4th if the east wasn't so terrible).

And in each of the 2 years I believe he was eliminated from the first round. How can I hand over the reigns of a playoff team to a coach who obviously is not a winner. You won't find Gregg Pop's and Larry Brown's every day but you sure as hell will find a guy with a similar win-loss record as Cheeks with a better POST SEASON record.

I liked Rick Carlislie 03-04 Indiana Pacers, and he's kept that team competive despite alot of turmoil. I'd give him a sweet offer.

He should be fired if we do make the playoffs , the Sixers have no business making the playoffs. We need Beasley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would extend Mo for 2yrs. unless there is some great coach available. I think he has earned a chance to show what he can do once we get a little more talent in here.
