Not that awards mean much but it's still nice to see him getting some deserved attention..

Am I the only one on this site who's in the Please Keep Andre Miller boat?

Memories that haunt are passing by
A murderer walks your streets tonight
Forgive me for my crimes;don't forget that I was so young
Fought so scared in the name of God and Country

You mean like Denver or Cleveland or Houston? Not only is Andre Miller simply playing better than Jason Kidd these days but his contract is far, FAR easier to trade for. I understand that Kidd is the sexier name but as Mark Cuban said last night, in order to trade for him you'd have to trade half of your team.

While I doubt Miller gets moved before next Thursday, I would LOVE to know what offers Stefanski is getting for him.

Last night: 13 pts, 6 rebs, 14 assists. Jason Kidd's statline tells you so much about his basketball game. In particular, his ability to rebound the ball allows the Nets to run. Imagine just how much better the Mavericks would be if they got a guy like Kidd who could run the floor, get the ball in the hands of Howard and Nowitski more often.

Wow, that's awesome, when was the last time a Sixer not named Iverson won this award? Did Iggy win it last year?

I could see Cuban being rash and deciding that Miller is now his main target after watching him skewer the Mavs in the 1st half.

Unless Dallas is willing to send Harris up here for Miller... I'm not interested in a Dallas' offer for Dre.

Miller is Old Man Steady. I can't remember the last time I've seen a sixer who is ALWAYS in control.

Well, if you think that ... you haven't been paying attention. I have been in that boat from the moment he arrived.

Here is some more on Miller ....

Now Miller has really upped his trade value with the player of the week award. Why the sudden burst of production? Is this all smoke and mirrors because Stefanski told him that he'd reward him with a trade to a possible contender if he could put together his best basketball of the year? In all seriousness, the timing is interesting to say the least. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to have Miller here and think he's a big part of our success. BUT that being said, I can't help wondering how this latest stretch of nice games has affected his value. I'd love to know what we've been offered for him...

I'd take Bass and Berea, a first and expirings. Berea would be a good back up for LW and Bass might be our PF for the future or good depth if we sign a PF over the summer.
Don't worry, that builds character and you can never have too much character...

That was just more of a way for me to put feelers out and see who else agrees with keeping him. I havn't been around lately and trying to catch up on a lot of the threads is too time consuming for me.
