This rookie class has not lived up to all of the hype it has gotten so far and the Sophomores have something to prove after they got demoralized in this game last year hence...

My Prediction: Sophomores by 15+
MVP Prediction: Brandan Roy

Neither team looks all that interesting I don't see any possible stars other than KD a bunch of good players that won't ever be that go to championship type guy. Would look better if Oden was healthy and Thad was playing but oh well.

The rookies will get blown out by 20+ points. The sophs have the best guards and that's the only thing that counts...This could even end up being a 50 point blow out.

DID YOU JUST NAME JAMARIO MOON AN STAR? SEAN WILLIAMS? AL HORFORD? These are good NBA players, not stars. The definition of a star is the likes of Iverson/Nash/B-Diddy. Players who CAN take over games. Players who had the potential to take over games. The likes of Gay, Aldridge, Roy, Bargnani, THEY have what it takes. Baut Jamario **** moon? Come on now. You sound like Agent Zer0.

I dont see Aldridge or Bargnani as having the skills or the mind set to become a star in this league. They will be good starters but no stars. You could make a case for Gay he is ok but if he played a good team he would not be viewed as the next player to carry that team. I see Gay and Roy as the Joe Johnson type player where they are good players on poor teams. They probally wont pan out into the Iverson, Nash, B. Diddy type star.

Brandon Roy is the reason the Blazers had that BLAZING(no pun intended) streak in Janurary. He has been sick lately.

You are aware how Portland has played for most of this year?

Does anyone actually watch this??? This is a painful game to watch regardless of who is playing...

Like I said they are nice players but none of them are going to be stars that take teams to a NBA championship. Even KD will be out of the league before Seattle is good enough to contend in the West. Roy is a nice player but not the type of player who is going to carry a team to a championship or even a Western Conference Finals. The only way Roy gets even close is if Oden becomes a dominant big in the NBA.

I NEVER said that Moon was better. What I did say is that the difference in skills that both bring to a winning team with players BETTER than themselves is not a large enough difference to warrant paying Iggy $11.5+ million per season while guys like Jamario Moon and Roger Mason Jr.are playing for around the league minimum. I'd much rather have Moon or Mason over Iggy if it mean saving the $10.5+ million for a player that I actually believe in like a Josh Howard who averages 22 points alongside Dirk while Iggy would average 15 next to Dirk but the Iggy fans would just make excuses for Iggy like "He doesn't get many plays called for him.."

Moon and Mason won't be making the minimum next year.

Actually Mason probably will be close because he's not very good, maybe a little less than Willie Green money.

No doubt about that. BUT when I look at the kind of talent that has been signed off of the street the last couple of years like Jose Calderon, Roger Mason Jr., Kareem Rush, Jamario Moon, it makes me look at Iggy turning down $11.5 million per season as a sign. He never was worth that much, just prepayment for his "potential." Iggy turning down $11.5 million was like playing Russian Roulette and pulling the trigger on an empty chamber. Let's not pull that trigger again Stephanski

Yeah, there's those guys (Besides Kareem Rush who's terrible) but there's also 50 times as many people that don't do anything and get cut. You can't just sign a bunch of minimum guys and hope some of the **** you threw at the wall sticks.

Every first contract is a shot in the dark...giving 23/24 year old players (other than players like Lebron or Howard) big pay days is risky.

The Iguodala/Roy comparison is a lot closer than Mason/Rush/Moon are to Iguodala...not even close.
