I'd love it if Stallworth game back to the eagles, and if somehow we could still get a number one reciever, I'd be very content with Num 1, Stallworth Brown

I'd be really happy with both Stall and Curtis - Even without a "number 1"

I like the names lol. But yeah. I'd be happy just getting Stallworth back but it's nice to dream that we could get someone else to line up oposite of him that will allow him to get less coverage so he can use his talent like he should be...

lito sheppard said he has no idea where the rumor came from. he's saying he never demanded a trade, nor does he want one.
there have also been rumors about the eagles going after fitzgerald hard. i don't know about that because he's making so much money it's not even funny. they could afford to trade for him, but i don't know that they would.
also, heckert said on eagles live! today that they are exploring some trades and waiting to see who gets tagged and who doesn't. speculation would be that they're interested in trading for or signing someone like jared allen or terrell suggs. i'm pretty sure both might be tagged (or at least allen has been rumored to be) but neither have been yet. teams have only 2 more days to do so.

well nevermind about allen. he just got tagged a few hours ago.

you know what. just forget my post. apparently suggs was signed long term.
i don't know why i hadn't heard about that, either.
well sh*t. i guess they could still trade for fitzgerald...

Is Sheppard a good man to man cornerback? Is he more a 1 or 2 CB?Saints desperately need a cornerback especially with McKenzie coming off of his torn ACL. What would the Eagles be looking for?

haha. seriously. thats some good speed at the wideout spot. I wouldnt complain if we got him unless we overpayed. However, If that happens the eagles may stand pat on a #1 WRs because they have alot of confidence in basket and avant.

Stallworth was not a number two option for New England last year. By the end of the season Gaffney was playing over him.
Brady had Moss and Welker and often ignored an open donte stallworth.
We all know that despite his injuries, Donte and the DonnoVAN had a good connection going. Add Curtis into the mix and . . .

While I am not the biggest Stallworth fan, his raw speed at the "X" position would probably open up the middle of the field for Curtis (think Wes Welker), LJ and others...
If we can't get "Ocho Cinqo", and if we don't overpay, I would be OK with signing Stallworth.

pshhh, if we got chad johnson, I would be STOKED to get stallworth.
Ocho Cinco, Kevin Curtis, Donte Stallworth, Reggie Brown and LJ Smith
is a better receiving team than last years patriots imo.

every team is targeting samuel.
it's going to cost at least $80 million to get him.
as for getting both stallworth and johnson? not going to happen. never. ever.

no they arnt. most teams cant afford him. We are one of the most attractive destinations out of the teams with room in their pocket

Nice, glad they're looking into a top tier cornerback as well. We were middle of the road in pass defense, so I think we have to add either a starting caliber corner and/or DE.
I don't see how adding Sameul makes Lito expendable. It'd be a strength for our defense to have 3 good CB's, and it's not like Sheldon or Lito make that much money that they'd need to be gotten rid of.

Stallworth is feasable but the thought doesn't excite me. He has talent, but in his only season with the Eagles he was injured for like 5 games or something. I suppose I wouldn't mind getting him for cheap, but I'd rather get a big, talented WR like Fitzgerald, Roy, Berrian, or Johnson. I'm not saying that the Eagles will get them or are targeting them, just that I'd prefer they get someone like that. If 2004 proved anything, it was that the Eagles can do well with a true number 1 WR.
As for Samuel, I didn't literally mean every team in the league, but there are probably 10-12 teams who have as much, if not more, cap space than the Eagles and all of them will have interest in Samuel. Personally, I don't know that he's worth the money. The Giants were saying that he doesn't press, they don't play any press coverage in NE and that's going to be an issue.
I agree with deadpool...if there was a way to get Samuel and keep Lito, I'd be all over that. Lito and Samuel are the starting CBs and move Brown to safety with Dawkins. When Lito gets injured for his typical 5 games, just move Brown back to CB and put in Considine, Mikel, or Reed.
