How many games do we need to win to make the playoffs? I think we need to at least go .500 to make the playoffs. What about everyone else?

I don't know an exact number...We have something like 9 of our next 13 on the road. If we can avoid getting ourselves in a big hole during this stretch I like our chances.

Our uptempo style may be bad for the playoffs, but it should be good for stealing some wins late in the season as we run into teams that are disinterested.

Dalembert and Iggy and miller get hurt next game in a freak accident, were they all minorly and painlessly out for the season, but it makes them better. Willie Green and reggoe evans pursues a music career, and the NBA declares there contract void. The sixers go 0 for 32 the rest of the season but thad averages 30 points and gets the rookie of the year. Lou Williams averages 25 and gets most improved, and Rodney Carney averages 20. We go 0 for 35 unfortunately, and finish with the 3rd worse record in the NBA. We win the lottery, and get the number one pick. Fortunately, we have just enough cap room to sign Elton Brand. We have a amazing 8 man rotation know, and miller expirers and becomes head coach after cheeks hires a billion dollars and buys the team. After becoming number one in record sales with their hit band lzdfenders, Reggie Evans and Willie green come back for the minimmum.

The Sixers WILL make the palyoffs this year. The difference between this year and last year is that we were NEVER the 7th seed so late in the season.

Now I'm just hoping we can somehow overtake Washington for the 6th seed. That way, we would stand a chance of beating the Magic.

I think 37 would be pretty much a lock to get in. So that's 11-14. Could happen, that's one more win than they're winning percentage right now projects out to.

The Sixers should be competitive for the playoffs. Washington and NJ, teams above them, didn't improve at all and, in the case of NJ, probably took a step back. Washington didn't improve but could get Arenas back. However, he's not the most team-first of teammates and could hurt them more than help them.

I would be wary of the Bulls because I think they've improved adding Hughes and Gooden for Smith and Wallace, 2 players I don't think too highly of. The Hawks are inconsequential, even with the Bibby move.

Brent Barry

i know i know..we are rebuilding but let me give you a what if....

Brent barry signs with us for a 1 year deal for 7 mil prorated for the rest of the season. This i believe will give him an 83,333 game check for the last 30 games. i only picked that number b/c its more than Van Horn will get for not even playing and it might be enticing to guy who might be bitter at his old team, wouldn't mind getting bird rights on his 1 yr deal contract(correct me if I am wrong on this one), and would like a change of scenerey(eastern conference)

So we bring him on for our playoff push with the sole purpose of getting to the second round of the playoffs and for the benefit of our youngings. Put willie on the bench and start Brent. Thad continues to start then willie and Lou come off the bench with reggie, then bury Carney while his stock is relatively high but you can bring him in for our turbo pressing fastbreak when we need a spark. I think this gets us a 5th or 6th seed and perhaps a matchup with Toronto or Orlando. with him at SG we are big. Plus he is a better defender than willie and beleive it or not more athletic IMO.

its not going to happen obviously, but what if... would you do it...it only costs us cash....and helps give our young guys more playoff experience

That's not how bird rights work.
