WOw, with Ben Wallace, Delonte West, and Wally Szcerbiak. They are looking nice.

They still are a one man team. Swap out Iguodala for Lebron and that squad is bare 500.

I guess they gotta run:

PG: Delonte West
SG: Wally zerb-im-not-even-gonna-try-it
SF: King James
PF: Ben Wallace
C: Z

West has to be a pure PG.... Wally needs to ONLY SHOOT WHEN NECESSARY, and WHEN NECESSARY, MAKE THE SHOT, and maybe, Big Ben's awesome D and no Offensive and Z's Offense and no D cosmicly, karmicly, ying-yangly reinforce each other...

I don't see the big deal about this trade. Wallace is done, Wally is average, and Delonte West is solid, but nothing more.

Hardly stacked.

Hell, at this rate, LeBron will get pi$$ed and win a championship in Cleveland, him and Big Ben will both be FA's and go to Brooklyn, and win a championship there...

If it's not Rule #1, it's definitely in the top 5 of the Rule #'s: Don't piss off LeBron.

Agreed, and I don't know what makes this a "blockbuster" deal - as someone in the GA thread noted, this is more along the lines of "hollywood video".

This is a good deal...Joe Smith and Wallace are an upgrade at PF...once side show Bob returns, they have a really nice 4 man rotation up front. West is an upgrade @ PG. Wally is a solid shooter when James penetrates and dishes, to pair with Pavlovic.

They gave up nothing to get this...they didn't get stars, but they got nice pieces to fit in with LeBron and make the team much more competitive right away.

Wallace is a mummy and is making a lot of money. I wouldn't want any part of him. West and Wally provide needed shooters, but for the Bulls, dumping Wallace was the biggest victory of the trade.

That mummy is averaging 1.6 BPG.

For Ben Wallace it is. He's one of the greatest weakside shot blockers/defenders to play in the game. He'll thrive in Cleveland. Where he ISN'T expected to be a defensive anchor(Laughable @ Chicago for thinking that)

Blocks are blocks. One small part of a much bigger picture. Ben is slower than he was, not quite the rebounder he was, and can't score if his life depended on it. I think Detroit was his ONLY home. Total bum outside of Detroit IMO.

5pts/8.8reb/1.6 BPG for 15.6M for the next 3 years. Makes Sam look like a blue light special.

It's worth the risk...they gave up Gooden to get Wallace and Smith...not an upgrade???

I guess Cleveland did well given the crap contracts/players they were dealing. Hughes had one of the worst guard contracts in the league.

Well, it's not a loss. I think it's not Wallace's fault he was signed to that contract. He is what he is, always has been and fans have forgotten that.

I think the Bulls won the deal. Hughes fits well there IMO, and they aren't winning now anyway. Got a young player in the deal with Brown and Gooden isn't very good, but isn't breaking the bank. Neither is Hughes.

Wallace's contract is nearly identical to Hughes's contract. Both on the books for two more years, both at 12.5 million plus per year.

Taking on the extra 3 million per year is worth it when you're getting back Wally, Joe Smith, and Delonte in return.

Cleveland actually has some front court depth and spot up shooters. That will make Lebron even more dangerous.

You should all look up Ben Wallace's defensive PER. It's..um...a bit ropey.
