By the way, how sad is the East when we have a legitimate shot at the 6th seed???

so true: they should "cross seed" the playoff this year. #1 West plays #8 east....

I cant believe you had to post that tho (its so pathetic that playoffs are even an option)!

By the way, our position in the playoffs is a little better than the way it looks above. While Atlanta is only 1 game behind us... the difference is records is pretty substantial.

We're 25-32 while Atlanta is 22-31. That means that in order to pull into a tie with us, the Hawks would actually have to go 3-1 which is unlikely given that they are 9 games under .500.

Hey TGP. I typed in Thad on google and I didnt get Julius Erving. :) I do think that there is a way for us to beat the Magic though. We should let Howard get his points using single coverage every time. NO double teaming EVER. That simply creates open three point shooters and it is better that Dwight gets them two points on some possessions instead of Turk getting them threes. If single coverage doesnt work too well then we'll have to resort to Hack- a-Dwight

I got tickets for $17 bucks a piece. Have friends that are half season ticket holders in the next section that probably pay close to $50.

They are pissed at all the cheap tix the team is offering and doing nothing fot them. Glad I gave mine up a few years back

The Sixers played the Magic a lot tougher when Sam and Reggie were both available to take turns trying to contain the monster that is Dwight Howard. They have to try and keep the game close and hope to pull it out at the end.

I think the rest helps us immensely. Also, I think missing Reggie Evans for the last game against the Magic was the difference. Having him back will certainly help.

The Wizards managed to beat the Hornets with a buzzer beater tonight but the rest of the games seem to be going in the Sixers' favor.

The Pacers lost to the Raptors, the Bulls are losing to the Mavs, and the Hawks are losing to the Spurs. We could end up having a game and a half lead in the race for 8th at the end of the night.

Since we seem to be on our way to the playoffs, I hope we get either the 6th seed or the 8th seed. No way we can hang with Detroit if we get the 7th seed. IMO we would have a much better chance against Boston/Orlando than Detroit. Imagine if could somehow upset the C's in round 1. Re-new the rivalry!

i am all for the playoffs-realistically the only way we get past the is against toronto IMO

detroit an Boston are way too good- i think Detroit will surprise the west and win it all

anyway as for this game we lose to orlando again...there is no Kryptonite on this sixers team to defeat superman as they call him now.

orlando is bizarro philadelphia - established post presence with excellent 3 pt shootin but average defense and average point guard and shooting guard play there couldnt be amore opposite team to us and unfortunately they are more talented and better coached so we lose again..

however i would like to see them put reggie on Turk so we can see some serious nut grabbin - iggy is just too nice to this guy

Whilst I like Philly, I've watched pretty much all your games this year and can say without any hesitation that you'd get swept by the Celtics.

Orlando plays NJ tonight so hopefully they beat them and get tired in the process while Philly will have three days rest. If they can't beat Orlando tomorrow, on home court too, they might as well resign to the fact that they are a much better team.

I still can believe that we are actually talking about getting 7th or 8th seed in the playoffs, while only a short time ago we were in the rose bowl.

Obviously we can thank Andre Miller Ping Pong Ball Killer for that. But since we're in this situation and the other teams we're competing against (Atlanta, Indiana, Chicago) are jokes this season... we might as well make the playoffs and have our young guys see what playoff ball is like.

LMAO!!! Has anyone actually looked at this recently? The more interesting projection on this "thing" is that the Sixers apparently have the same odds of making the Finals as the Cleveland Cavs.

Hollinger's machine has us finishing with 37 wins... anyone wanna take the over on that??? Not me.

Last week he had us ahead of Cleveland... Its way too weighted on the team's recent record. We just had that easy part of the schedule, so his calculation has bumped up our chances unrealistically.

By the way, I just noticed that the Magic are playing at Jersey tonight which means that we will catch them on the second night of back-to-back road games. The last time we encountered this situation, we beat the Mavericks pretty easily.

If the Magic beat the nets then we beat the magic that would be very nice for our playoff hopes.
Andre Miller is a bad 3pt shooter.

Orlando should start getting into post season form...they can't lose this one.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
