In the league in dunks not sure if this has any meaning, but i guess we can take pride in that a little bit, because everyone wants to see a slam dunk. and this also makes us exciting.

I'd like to see how many of those are in the full court and how many are in the half court. There's no doubt we're a fast break team, so leading the dunks in the full court doesn't really suprise me.

We have been fun to watch. I can think of several games when we got on the break and had great highlights that got me out of my seat.
The team had two of the top 10 ESPN highlights this eason- with Lou's block then oop dunk and Carney's throw down on Wade (and the revenge.)
If this team can get the pieces for a decent half court offense, the would quickly become one of the highest scoring teams in the league.

Rick Carlisle showed some love to the Sixers on the topic about a week or so ago. John Saunders talked about how he felt the Magic or Hornets led the league in the alley-oops before giving in to Carlisle after Rick said that every other basket the Sixers score seems to be a dunk and that he'd put his money on Philly.
Hopefully we'll lead this category next year when we have Iguodala, Young, Sam, and our new PF getting out on the break.

I like how we have tried to get out running off of made baskets recently. It realy suits Lou's game- and reminds me a bit of AI at his best, and sometimes even reminds me of watching the great running teams iof the 80's.
I hope we are a 105 ppg type offense sometime in the next few games. we may not be heading toward being contenders, but a high scoring winning show would be good consolation.

Willie Green has actually been shooting the ball well over an extended period. I don't know if a lot of people have noticed that.

That would be great, but it looks like we are a lot closer to being a very good defensive team than an explosive offensive team. If we keep playing with that intense college basketball press and hustle, we could be real special on the defensive ends.

I agree- two sides of the same coin. to get out on the break you need a good pressure defense (and good rebounding/outlets.)

He's shooting 45% on the year, pretty much all you can ask for out of the guy. He's played above what I expected from him.
-btw, who keeps track of dunks?

Bingo !!!
And that is how you win Championships !
Billy King indicated that they were going to select players based on their character and defensive abilities as much as anything else. Hopefully, they continue with that resolve. That is how you get a tough, defensive, team that plays hard every night and plays as a team.

Its normal we have the most dunks, because nobody on this Sixers team can hit a jump shot.
Fast break dunks are easy buckets, I don't see how we should take pride in it.

Because the easy fast break buckets generally come from doing difficult things at the other end.

Great Point, I couldn't have said it better myself. Geez why is EVERYBODY so god damn negative about everything this team does? We lead the league is something that ISN'T bad and it's still nothing to some of us. I'm sure of some you will find an excuse for why Thaddeus leads all rookies in PER.

I really like this team. The reason that we are going to make the playoffs at either the 7th or 6th seed is that we now have an identity.
We are now a very athletic team that defends very well, and has a great fastbreak offense as a result.
The effort and the way this team is coming together, you just gotta love it.
Like I've been saying this year, we are a decent off-season away from being a FACTOR in the East.
Won't that be a nice change of pace?
