Looks like Duhon will be out of Chicago next year with all the players they have picked up in the back court. Do you think that he would be a good pick up for a bench player ala kevin Ollie. Good defense, smart player who can push the ball and play with the second unit. Of course I would not want to over pay him but if he could be had for a small amount maybe 2-4 million year would he be a good pick up?

Not a bad thought...he's be a nice backup...at the right price.

I have not seen Duhan play much since his college days and rookie year. He profiles as a back-up, but how good is he defensively? Miller's big liability is stopping dribble penetration on defense since he lacks lateral quickness. I liked the thought of getting Lowry as a back-up to Miller preceisely because he excels at on-ball defense. We have a bench scorer in the back-court, I would look for a defensive minded back-up PG who is more of a long distance shooter than a scorer.

id be all for it...he plays ok D can dish the ball and run the team and knock down the 3 which we lack big time...if hes cheap enough bring him in and allow Lou to continue to do his thing on offense

I think he'd be a good fit. He plays good defense, and he's not really looking for his own shot (though he'll shoot when he needs to and can knock it down pretty good). I think he ended up in a crappy situation in Chicago, and I hope the sixers give him a look.

I hate Duke... But to me, in my opinion, Duhon's one of those guys that could play for me any day... he's just one of those guys...I'd pick him for my team any day.

Yall can have him. He has play 0 mins the last 3 games. He is a good back up when he wants to be. But to often he just runs way to much time off the shot clock. He has good D though.

Duhon is our guy. If he can be had for cheap, we should sign him.

Think about it Lou Williams will be our backup point guard and Duhon doesn't want to be the third string behind miller, and behind lou will barley get any minutes. I see him signing with the suns to backup Steve Nash, i would try getting a buyout from the bulls if i were Duhon but that doesn't seem likely, he will be gone by the summer though. Like I said Iggy,Thad Young,Dalembert, Andre Miller,Lou Will isn't a bad core at all and still in progress of developing we just need a better two guard, and Willie Green would become a 6th man canidate off the sixers bench hes that good and yes hes starting and doing good maybe a starter if he can continue improving but we could do better, think of him of as a more talented Aaron Mckie and actually will probaly have a better career, but the biggest need will be the power forward spot and we must do this right or we will never get out mediocoreness.

BTW the only way we sign Chris Duhon if we can get brand or marion in a sign trade maybe involving lou williams it would be a price to pay, but miller is a good point guard and we could use Duhon to be the backup.

Priorities

I think a backup PG next year is pretty low on the list of priorities right now. Duhon's a good backup PG. There are many teams, contending ones included, that would love one (San Antonio, Dallas, Boston come to mind) and would probably pay more than the Sixers will offer for him. Would he be a good addition? Yes but I think money should be spent elsewhere on a starting PF, Iggy's current contract situation and a 3 pt shooter.
