Caron Butler is out indefinately with torn labrum

I saw that. The 6th seed would match us up against the Magic which would obviously be a lot better than going up against the Celtics or Pistons. We have some tough games ahead of us... but I think we have a good chance to make up that game and a half since the Wiz are without Arenas and Butler.

If we meet Orlando in the playoffs, would it be too far fetched to think about a possible upset? I dont think so...

Well, the first round of the playoffs does favor upsets because of the fact that it is only a 5 game series and not a best of 7. I think that we could take a game (or two at the most off of the Mavs) but asking for a straight up upset might be jumping the shark.

The First Round isn't a Best of 5 anymore. Every series is Best of 7.

Ahhh... I forgot that they made that change. Well, that only further cements our chances then.

I've been saying this for the past 2 weeks. We stand a great chance of getting the 6th seed. We face the Magic (most likely), and that gives us the best chance for an upset.

How great would it be if we got to the 2nd round of the playoffs? THIS YEAR!!!

Do you mean Magic, not Mavs right?

I think we can upset the Magic considering they don't have much Playoff experience besides the turk with his days with the Kings. But he wasn't a main focal point on the team then, so who knows how him and shard will reacat in the playoffs. Our best chance is 6th seed and if we make 2nd round I will cream myself.

What I think he's trying to say is that THEY don't have an advantage in terms of playoff experience. It's sorta even there. Which would definitly not be the case if we played Boston or Detroit.

Oh ok....I get it.

Either way, I think we're way undertalented to win a playoff series...especially with our lacking a half-court game

The Sixers are backing into the playoffs. Tells you how bad the competition is when a "rebuilding team" such as the Sixers might make the playoffs.

No. The Sixers still suck, despite them being in playoff contention. They'll be out within 5 no matter who they play, whether it be Boston, Detroit, or Orlando.

And the toughest part of the schedule is still coming up. The Sixers could miss the playoffs outright.

To put things into more perspective, the Wizards hold the 6th seed despite having been without Arenas most of the season and Butler for quite a while. So the Sixers being in the playoffs really isn't that impressive. Compound that with the fact that COY usually goes to a coach with one of the better records in the league, Cheeks has no chance.

They've won 8 or 10 games. Hardly the definition of backing in.

And I think Mo is definitely a CotY candidate. He at least deserves a mention when you bring it up, but I think Byron Scott, Stan Van Gundy, Phil Jackson, and Jerry Sloan are there too.

Orlando usually gives us trouble & before last night I would have discounted the possibility. However, Mo finally went with a man-to-man defense & that seemed to slow down the 3-point game. They just need to use their fouls against Howard & keep playing like they did last night. BTW where was Jason Smith last night?

We could def. beat Toronto. We need to be cheering hard for them.

Sixth seed sounds nice. It would be great if we got the Magic or the Raptors and took them to six or seven games if not beating them.

Being in the playoffs is good experience for our young players, but it lowers our draft pick significantly.
