Probable Starters

It'll be interesting to see if Brandan Wright gets the start for the Warriors in this game as he did against the Sonics on Tuesday Night. But forget all of that... hey man, the Sixers have the best record in the Leastern Conference over the last 10 games (8-2) and are now a half game up as the 7th seed. I think we have the personnel to get out and run with the Warriors but I think they'll pull away from us in the 2nd half hence...

I'd like to see us put together a decent game on the road. GS should at least let us get out on the break (as will the Suns) and this would be a great chance to steal a game. Unfortunately, we have been a horrible road team this year, especially out west, so maybe expecting them to change this trend is only a pipedream.

Should be entertaining. Their not going to outrun us thats for sure. Although 3-pointers might make the difference.

Not a great matchup for the Sixers. GS plays a very similar style, but with better talent... Baron Davis is a stronger, tank version of Miller. Monta Ellis is a more explosive, prolific version of Sweet Lou. I agree that Ellis might go for 30 against the Sixers' SGs. In fact, if I were Mo, I'd start Thad at 3, shift Iggy to the 2 and stick him on Ellis all game...

Anyways... let's pay close, close attention to a certain bench-warmer on Golden State: Patrick O'Bryant. He probably won't even get into the game, but this guy is a pure 7-footer who will be an unrestricted FA this summer. He probably won't command too much dough, and he wants to go somewhere he'll get PT. Why not here? He's a definite project, but O'Bryant is on my short list of young, bargain-basement bigs.

I would not mind taking a low risk flyer on O'Bryant as a developmental big man, just don't expect a lot for a year or two. If someone decides to pay him a lot simply for being tall, then I would pass.

What's the over under on this game?? Can the Sixers put up 110? I think GS wins, but this could be a 120-110 type game.

Its more important what we hold GS to.

We are not the type of running team that can routinely win games where both teams score in the 110's. Our high scoring is triggered by good defense, so we only score 110+ if we blow out the other team and hold them under 95 pts.

Well the Nets beat the Bucks last night to pull back into a tie with us for 7th spot. Harris scored 21 in his debut and apparently looked really good.

Meanwhile down in Dallas, Jason Kidd was benched for the final minute of the game against the Spurs even though the Mavs were down just 2 points. WOW! That relationship (Avery and Kidd) seems to be off to a rough start.

Compared to Isaiah and Stephon they look like Bert and Ernie. Did anyone see that Isaiah has banned Marbury from the Garden and the Knicks have forbidden him to speak to the media?

I'm amazed at how bad of an owner James Dolan is. How can he continue to allow Isiah to run that franchise when every other week there's a fairly embarrassing story that comes out.

i love the dubs, but honestly they are their own worst enemy. they are a jekyl and hyde type of team. you all played us tough in philly last time and i expect that and more from the sixers tonight. if the warriors look at the two teams and play them with a mindset based on conference and records and they don't come in focused, expect us to get down by 15+ in the 1st and/or 2nd quarters and try to claw our way back. if that happens you all have a great chance of winning as long as you can fight off the "OH CRAP WE MIGHT LOSE ANOTHER ONE" push they usually do in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

if they come in focused and pretend that you all are phoenix, or san antonio then they could take this one easy.

I would remind him of the bloody wars him and monta have been in.I would remind him that he is in his contract year(YOU MIGHT GET RENOUNCED THIS YEAR LOU) but has yet to trully have had a BREAKOUT type of game 30pts..7ast.. Its time for Lou to make it do what its supposed to do. Management is not gona pay him and willie green the same type of money Some bodys OUTAHERE.Neither can be trusted in a playoff series at :banghead:
