Anyone from the 07 draft you'd trade Young for?

Other than Oden, Durant or Horford, if there anyone else from the 07 draft that you'd rather have than Young at this point? Right now I'd say no. He is 19, and he is already looking this good already. I think he is going to be such a special player.

Young is the steal of the 2007 Draft.

co-signed.
I'd trade him for oden or horford point blank period.

I like Young more than the other players you mentioned because of his efficiency, potential, and our cap space/trade options going into next season.
However, I would be much more happy if BK used the other picks more wisely. I am not upset with the Smith pick, but if we could do something like trade our Dallas pick + our second rounder for Crittenton, maybe things would be a little bit different.
I would like the potential of this lineup:
Miller/Crittenton/Ollie
Green/Williams
Iguodala/Carney
Young/Evans
Dalembert/Smith/Booth
Given how fast he has developed, his maturity, and his consistency..I don't think I'd take Durant over Young.
We have a very special talent in Thaddeus Young.

Not sure whether I would trade him for Horford. But beside him and the two top draftees, he might be the most promising rookie.

It's still a little early. I think Brandan Wright has an excellent chance to have a better career than Young. Does that mean that I would trade Young for Wright RIGHT NOW... well, I'm not so sure but it's not a deal that I would quickly decline.

Yi maybe. But that might be more for financial reasons (ie China being a large market and consumer of NBA products) than anything else.
But I'm not sold on him as a player.

not a huge connely fan...think he was a nice player in college but he did play with 2 other first rnd pros in cook and oden
i like the brandon wright call, i really wanted us to trade up when he slipped in the draft...
still, thad looks like a terrific pick and i hope next season he becomes a stronger focal point on the offense and we run some sets for him...i personally would hang onto him as long as possible...he is our most untouchable player (yeah even moreso than iggy)

Based on their perceived potetial and play this year, if the draft were held today Young would be in the group right behind the big three of Oden, Durant and Horford. It would be hard to sort out between Conley, Yi, Young, Thornton, and Green. Young and Thornton would certainly be making the biggest jumps up frpm their original draft positions. Sean Williams and Brandan Wright would merit consideration too. I still think we will see big years out of Nick Young and Rodney Stuckey down the road as well.

I would only trade him for a player that is both better AND has a defined position on the court. Those players would be:
Oden, Horford, Durant, Joakim Noah
As for Brandan Wright he doesn't look like an impact half court contributer from what little I've seen. But he does look like a terrific open court PF. Yi is skilled but guys like Thad and Horford will be eating his lunch consistently in 5 years from the inside and outside. He's not a tough player at all. Rodney Stuckey one day might prove to be a better NBA player/talent than Thad. Thad is the 4th-6th player in that draft depending on how much you like Brandan Wright and Noah in my opinion...

I knew that a weirdo fantasy basketball player would come in here to address that. Noah is a young 7'0" low post player with a high motor and high basketball IQ. Thad is a SF. Small Forwards are ALWAYS obtainable. Noah has potential to be the best rebounder in the NBA, supported by his 20 rebound effort a few games ago. Thad's best contribution will always be making baskets, baskets aren't difficult to come by in the NBA...But I know that you are one of these weirdo fantasy basketball playing PPG overrating fans. Thad may average more points than Noah but superior interior defense and rebounding are more important than points scored from the SF position.

Noah the best rebounder in the nba? Lay off the crack.
In all fairness, Noah is a great hustle guy who I would love to have on our team, be Thad has a WAY higher ceiling

I would probably pick Horford over Young even after the nice game he had today. We are in need a of starting caliber power forward.

Ben Wallace lead the NBA in rebounding for many years and he was UNDRAFTED. You are the only one smoking crack, and it's Iggy's arse crack that you're smoking with his name as a part of your username all knob slobberishly. Fan boy.

People like him view "talent" and "ceiling" as who will score the most points.
