I actually thought we looked pretty bad with the exception of Miller, Thad, and Sam last night. I thought our offense looked somewhat disjointed compared to some of the previous games - and don't even bring up our pathetic free throw shooting! I would hope that tomorrow we come out more energized.

I never thought that the death of Superman would ever have relevance in a regular season Sixers' game thread but it does...
If someone can hook Sammy up with some kryptonite before tomorrow night's game, I would be extremely thankful.

As a team we shot 60%...how much more energized do you want them to be?

Wiz fan here. I know you guys are on our butt but I still will be rooting for you guys in this one. I cant stand the Magic's fans. I swear they act like they have been the Spurs for the last few years or something

The free throws and turnovers were my biggest issue and that is what I meant when I said "disjointed". Maybe the game looked more fluid in person but on the tv, it really looked a bit choppy in my opinion. I just didn't seem to think we ever maintained much of a flow.

the free throws were hideous.... we would've had some cushion down the stretch if we knocked them down.... but hey... it led for an exciting ending.

Since the Magic screwed us over last night by letting the Wizards beat them, I say the Sixers will take their frustrations out on Orlando.
Sixers will win.
We just cant seem to catch a break with the Wiz and Raptors. Everytime we win, they do too.

The Magic pose a serious threat with something we haven't encountered often and probably won't encounter unless we play western teams like the Suns, Jazz, Lakers. Or the Celtics. Big perimeter players (D-H12, Hedo, Rashard are all 6'11). In order to win this basketball game, we're going to have to front the perimeter and keep our bodies near the magic and run the floor.

Actually, I have a bad feeling for this game. Shard and Howard played an atricious game against Washington. Expect them to come back with a strong performance.
As much as I enjoyed the last game, we could not really defend the perimeter and we could not hit our free throws. That's crucial in order to win the game since Orlando might be the best three-point shooting team in the league.
I hope our team starts to play full court pressure again. That's the way how you annoy your opponents.

Yeah, I also have a really bad feeling about this one. Hedu has killed Iguodala the last few times we've played them. I would switch Thad on Hedu but then who covers Rashard? Smith isn't quick enough to guard him and neither is Evans. Then there is Howard
Here's what I would do;
1) Limit Sam's minutes in the 1st half and play Booth for long stretches. It's imperative that Sam avoid foul trouble early on so I'd save him for the second half. Also, Booth is pretty good at flopping and I would urge him to do his best acting tonight against Howard.
2) Put Thaddeus on Hedu and Iguodala on Rashard. We know Iguodala cannot guard Hedu. However, we've yet to see the taller Thaddeus on him. My guess is that Young can use his length to create more issues for Hedu.
3) Attack, attack, attack. That means Iguodala, Lou Williams, WG, and Carney need to take it early and often to the rim and try to draw Howard into foul trouble.

Good luck sixers. Andre Miller has gotta be one of the most underrated players in the league.
