Does this annoy anyone else? It annoys me so much.

During games, whenever a player does something, the camera man always has to zoom in on his face when in transition. Every once in a while, it will result in you missing a play. Why do they have to zoom in on his face? I don't get it. Do we really need to stare at these player's ugly mugs when they do something? Just show the damn game.
It annoys me so much, and I have no idea how that little tendency started in the first place.

thats productions' fault. a good director wouldn't pick the camera on closeups when he sees a play developing on another screen. but yeah when it happens it annoys the crap out of me.

I concur.

Annoying it is, especially when the play is worthy of being on a highlight reel.

I've been bitching about this for years. Whoever directs these games for CSN/WPSG has got to learn that close-up shots frustrate viewers when the game is going on. Frankly... there are a lot of things I would change about the Sixers' broadcast/game day crew.
1) No more close-ups if the ball is in play
2) Zumoff out... Tommy Mac in.
3) Salmi out.... Mad Dog in.
4) Matt Cord out... someone with a deeper voice in.
5) Hip Hop out... either Big Shot or someone else in. The rabbit has got to go.

Haha, i was thinking the same thing. It happens on comcast all the time.. Although i disagree with the person that doesn't like Zumoff. I think he is pretty good.. All in all, we have good brodcasters. They typically call a good game.. Watching some of the other teams announcers, a lot of the are way too biased during the games.

You are batting 1.000. Every one of those ideas is a no brainer (although I would feel bad if Zoo lost his job, but I agree Tommy is better.)

That is a classic video. The only problem with Big Shot is that he was more of a Phanatic type mascot which sort of limited him on the ability to do trampoline dunks. I grew up with Big Shot so I'd like him to come back but at the very least.... the bunny has to go.

While we are complaining, any chance they can stop mentioning that "get to the net" promo 100 times a game? I mean damn, we get it, you want us to go to the website. The next time they do that I might throw something at the television.

I disagree big-time about Zumoff. I love Zu. Best in the business IMO. I think he is light years better than Tommy Mac. I've never heard anyone put the excitement and passion into a game like him.

To quote Tommy Mac.... are you kidding me?? Have you listened to Tom on the radio broadcast? Hell, the Sixers even use Tommy Mac's voice during the player intro video instead of Zumoff's because Tommy Mac is all energy.
I'm not saying Zumoff is bad.... well, not anymore. He used to be terrible when he used "homeboy" all the time. But the fact of the matter is that Tom McInnis is one of the best play-by-play guys in the business.

Tommy Mac has energy, but I think Zu has a lot more. He freaks out when the Sixers get going, and his "for the win" calls absolutely erupt on game winning shots down the stretch.
When AI hit that buzzer beater against the Pacers he almost broke the microphone with his screaming.
and it doesn't sound forced either.
