A.I. getting lit up on the Denver board...
Reading the Denver-Seattle game thread, it seems like a healthy group of posters are regretting the trade and want AI gone...funny...from the Nuggets game sthat I have seen, AI has not been the problem...
There is some serious man-love over there for 'Melo...don't get that one, either...
People b*tching about his shot selection...b*tching about his defense...
I dunno...on a team coached by George Karl, with guys like 'Melo, AI, Carter, Smith...what did they expect - the Spurs or Celtics on defense?

I also don't see the love for Carmelo either. Dude impressed the heck out of me in college and he obviously has good numbers in the league, but I just get the feeling that his ego needs deflated before he has much team success in the NBA. I love how every one made a big deal about AI and 'Melo putting their egos in check and playing so well together. If you watch that team they simply take turns dominating the ball, unless JR Smith is in a mood to do so (albeit with a lot less success). I pity Camby, sometimes it looks like he's playing defense 1 on 5.

Camby is on my list for top 5 most overrated players. The only thing Camby can defend is a guard driving to the rim, and even that's only a small portion of the time. It's either hit or miss for him. He gives the guard room to get to the rim, instead of blocking his path, just so he can attempt the block (the only way he knows how to defend). If he doesn't get the block, it's a layup every time. He can't defend post up bigs. And he definitely can't defend jump shooters.
I watched most of their game against Sactown on Saturday. He was getting destroyed by their scrubs from the outside. I also watched their 2 overtimes against Seattle. At the end of the 1st overtime, Camby had Durant on a switch with about 10 seconds left, Seattle down 3. Durant standing 30 feet out, you see Camby drifting to the middle to help out in the lane. Durant gets the pass and nails a 3 from 30 feet.

Bringing Iverson back is NOT an option. I loved watching him play and he is one of my favorite Sixers of all-time but I believe Iverson brings more concerns about team chemistry than Zach Randolph does and Zach Randolph addresses more of a need than AI does.
As for the Nuggets, if they miss the playoffs or are bounced in the first round again, I believe they'll look to trade Iverson this summer. He'll have a $21MIL expiring contract and will be little risk to any team trading for him. That said, I'm not sure where he would really fit in.

George Karl puts like zero value on defense and they are surprised when they lose 151-147.
That team needed toughness and rebounding. He had Reggie Evans who brings toughness and rebounding and he didn't play him.
Even Hunter who has his flaws showed late last season when he started for us that he can defend. Why not play him some minutes off the bench to give Camby a rest? Even with KMart out the other night Hunter still got zero minutes. Damn, you are giving up 150 points try to put somebody in there that will defend and hustle.
AI was playing a back to back, played 56 minutes with a broken finger and put up 26 and 13 assists with just 2 turnovers. What do they expect from him?

iverson has had sharp critisism every since he came into the league and its not gonna stop now. People wanna point the figner at a.i because he is the new peice but people fail to realize he has given the nuggets their best record in 25 years. Its not a.is fault that denver has a terrible coach and no perimeter defense. Besides allen, there is another big defensive liability on that squad, his name is carmelo anthony. too bad denver fans are too lost in his jock to see it.

your post is pointless and poor researched. really. the "group" you mention are 2 users on the nuggets board who complain after every fckin game that melo didn't get more shots... even when he got 31 shots in this game. those two posters are absolutely jokes who are on the ignore list by nearly every user on the nuggets board!
this persons name is MELO4MVP for example and the best thing he said was that he complained about the amount of melos shots when we lost this 2OT game against seattle where we allowed 150+pts. when i mentioned that we lost because our defense sucked and that it's one of the worst defensive efforts in the whole nba to give up 150+ this season he said... melo didn't get enough touches to let us win the game.
every thread no matter what the topic is turns into a debate which player is better... A.I. or melo... and it's always the same person who starts this **** after every game. and that's the stuff YOU read.
it not like everybody says the trade was a mistake (like you say in your post). next time you put up something like this you should have better sources my friend. you seem to be very similar to this melo4mvp and archibundo guys.

Boy ... that really points out how far Allen Iverson has fallen. Allen Iverson ... one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history may not "fit in" anywhere in the NBA. If true ... that is a sad commentary on his ability to play basketball in the NBA.
