Didn't DeAndre Jordan declare today??? Also, why not include some of the prominent seniors in the first post... just a thought.

As for me, well.... I think we all know what name I'm keeping an eye on for declaring. :-)

Yeah. Added him.

Because if you haven't figured it out Seniors aren't' going to be back in college next year, then you really shouldn't be left alone on the internet :)

Damn TGP, you have mad man love for Arthur.

I'm not sure who I exactly want, but I would love if Donte Greene or Augustin fell to us.

ESPN is now reporting that Mayo is in.

As for the senior thing, obviously they are eligible but since this is the draft thread, I figured it would be nice to keep a list of those who figure to be names that get thrown around. Of course that's just me and well, I'm a nice guy. :-)

Also... I most definitely shouldn't be left alone on the internet.

Speights declared (no agent)- That's the player Jem has been all over. Might be a great fit if he is still on the board.

Ben Howland is apparently denying the report about Love and Collison declaring for the draft.

"It's an erroneous report," Howland, adding that Love and Collison were very upset about the report because they had yet to discuss their future with their families.

Unfortunately I haven't seen him play at all, but from what I heard he's like a poor man's Aldridge, I would bite if he fell to us (but I think he's probably a lottery pick).

It wasn't intended to be a "list of all possible candidates", but just a quick reference on what underclassmen have declared.

I really like Anthony Randolph. Arthur is awesome too. I just don't know if any of these guys will help us win a championship. We don't have a top 3 pick on our roster. Name me the last team to win a championship without a top 3 pick on their roster.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

Hey man... you'll be hearing from my attorney for gimmick infringement. I've been spewing this fact out since the day Iverson got dealt. Actually, some people will combat that with something simple like "sign Kwame Brown" or "trade for Joe Smith" and the criteria is met. However, each team for the last 30 years has had a top 3 pick as a prominent member of it's championship team. This sort of thing just puts me more and more on the Okafor bandwagon.

One could say that Thad could turn out to be a top 3 calibre pick a few years down the line.

Sure... there are a lot of players that can make the case later on that they should have been a top 3 pick in their draft class. Hell, I think Iguodala could make a case that he should have been a Top 3 pick in his draft but that doesn't help the fact that every team that has won a title in my lifetime has had an actual Top 3 pick as one of it's leaders.

Haven't seen a ton of his games, but from what I have seen, he's someone to consider. Doesn't it seem like there are more big men (PF/C) prospects this year than in many years past??

I don't know if he'll declare, but a very intriguing big man prospect to me is Koufous (probably mis-spelled). Very good ball skills and length. Not perfect, but if he declares and is available when the Sixers pick, I would not be upset if he was the selection.

A lot of them will end up returning to college.

Thats more a stat of association than causation. You tend to need a superstar or at least a bunch of stars. If you look at the draft, your best shot at a star is to have a top 5 pick- so when you have stars on your team likely one of them will be a top pick (its especially rare too have a great C or PF who was not picked high.)

That doesn't mean its impossible top have a team with CHIP talent without a top 3 pick- it just would buck the trend.

If it bothers you we can always go out and resign Joe Smith, Webber and Van Horn. I doubt it would help our chances- but we would be stocked with top picks.

Exactly. You've just pretty much proved our point.

CHIP teams need a franchise caliber player, and MULTIPLE all-star caliber player. It's very hard to get one of those without a top-5 pick. Getting multiple of them? A nightmare.

Blake Griffin returning to Oklahoma. That cuts into the quality of PF's in the draft.

Does anyone know what Hansbrough doing? Not that I really want him on the sixers, but its interesting to see if he goes back for his final year.

I like Arthur too. The guy is a difference maker on defense and doesnt seem to get rattled to often. I hope he's available at 17.
