Well, here it is. If we are to have a chance at the 5th seed, we have to win this. If we lose it, I believe we'll find ourselves traveling to Detroit for the first round. In all honesty, my gut tells me the Wizards take this but I'm a Kool-Aid drinker and my heart tells me differently hence...

My Prediction: 76ers by 1+

No excuse not to win. The Wizards are so bad. No doubt in my mind the Sixers are better. Still, anything can happen obviously.

The Wizards have done very well actually, considering their injuries to major contributors. They're a very good team and they would probably be 50+ wins in the East if they had their players healthy all year like we have.

That said, I very much dislike the way they play, I can't stand teams with a middling pace like they have, it's gotta be breakneck or grind-it-out for me :D

1 more win makes guarantees a .500+ record, let's make it happen.

gil might not play since they limit him on b2b's. bodes well for our press which seems to give them fits.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

By the way, if anyone thought we shot horrendously yesterday, check out the Washington shooting % against Detroit--it will make you feel much better :D.

Granted, they played Detroit and we played Indiana...but still. 27%?

Yep this game pretty much mans eplaying Lebrono or Detroit because Toronto's remaining schedule is weak.

Simply put... If Green continues to start and log 20 plus minutes a game, this team has no chance in the playoffs. I have never in all my years seen a sixers starter that is so bad in every aspect of the team game.

i guess you didn't watch the sixers betwen barkley and iverson - our best players were Dana Barros and Jeff hornacek....anyway i agree that we need igs the 2 and start reggie and thad ..but cheeks will stick to his rotations until the end..heres to hoping willie is saving his next hot streak for the playoffs...(philyborn tipping back a glass of kool-aid)

I beg to differ. His defense isn't anything spectacular, but it is definitly a positive. When he's on, he can be a difference maker. His only problem is, when he's off he's also a difference maker....... for the other team.

Next year I'm all for Thad starting, but for now, he's better served coming off the bench.

Anyway, this game is pivotal. We win this game, we're in the driver's seat for the 5th seed, and a good chance at the 4th seed. If we lose, we are doomed to the 7th seed and a first round matchup against the Pistons.

Sixers better not have a repeat of yesterday. Absolutely atrocious.

Definitely a big game- but we have no shot of catching the Cavs. We trail by 3 games with 3 to go (and they play Miami.)

Even if we win out we need the Raps to lose to the Pistons tomorrow to hold them off- because I doubt they lose to the Bulls, and no way they lose to Miami.

The Sixers have two tough oponents in the Wiz and Cavs. They really need top recatch fire (and play less tight) in order to not be the 7th seed.

Your sig is the reason.

Wiz fans could say the same thing after how they played last night. Two teams coming off of horrible losses in games they should have won.

Someone has to win- and as you said, Why not us?

The Sixers are a much better team than the Wizards. That is a good reason. The Sixers have been playing much less energetic though, since they clinched a playoff spot. That worries me.

will you stop being such a homer. How are you a much better team? I can see you saying that you think you will win or even that your the better team but please stop acting like you are way way better then us because that is not true unless you are a childish homer

Wiz fan here and I have some great news for you. Caron is out against you guys again. Last week he hit knee's with Songaila in practice and badly bruised it. Last night he left the game one time and could barely walk. He'll probally sit until the playoffs.

Even with Caron, I think we were both in the same boat. I dont think neither set of fans know what to expect from there teams. We didnt even show up at all last night. It was a 50/50 game. Half of me feels like it was just a bad game where we were totally flat and no one showed up while the other half of me thinks that we were so bad that it could linger for a few games. Definatly not the type of game you wanted to have at this time of year and I guess you guys felt the same way about your game. Were the home team but thats cancled out by Caron's injury. Deshawn is also a game time decision but will probally go since he wants to keep his consecutive starts streak alive which he is 2nd in the league only to Prince. Gil also was rubbing his knee last night and they had to ice him down. he's not supposed to play in back to backs but before the tip last night they said he will probally play both games but limited minutes in each.

Its anyone's game tonight and I dont know who will take it
