What happened to Marzano?

Crazy to hear about his death. He was one of my favorite Philly sports broadcasting/media personalities. Falling down his stairs just doesn't sound right...no matter what, it's a terrible thing...such a shame for his wife/kids/grandkids.

Wow, this is very sad. Marzano was a guy you couldn't help but like. RIP.

I didn't agree with most of what Marzano had to say, but he seemed like a good guy. That's just terrible.

I'm pretty sure he had a heart condition.

Well, that's not what I expected to read, but unfortunately it's not too uncommon in society. The first article I read had him falling down the stairs, but now the reports are probable heart attack. Either way, it's such a shame.

true. no matter what kind of person he was, he didn't deserve to go so soon.

A lot of Comcast guys come off as Wannabe-Sportcenter-Clones (and I don't mean that in a good way).

John Marzano came off like a Philly guy, who loved Philly sports, played Philly sports and now continued to live Philly sports.

And he always seemed to realize how lucky he was to be able to do this.

That, to me, was what made him so likable: He knew the passion of his viewer because he had it himself.

Always.

RIP.

I heard about this last night... WOW! It's crazy how fragile life is and how we take it for granted.

What terrible news.. I usually agreed with what John said. He spoke from the heart. I will miss seeing him on comcast for sure.
