Trade A.I ???

Post#1 » by 76ers76ers » Tue Apr 22, 2008 5:29 pm

I think he has good value this offseason. I would rather have Thad as our future small foward instead of AI. What PF would you trade him for involving a package/sign and trade?

Do we have to have one of these threads every 5 days?? Its getting old. Dude, scroll through the first 3 pages, and I'm sure you'll find enough threads about this question.

With that said, the chances of Iguodala being moved are unlikely. Please at least wait until the offseason, we'll have a better idea of what changes need to be made on our roster.

Me too.

The solution is simple: make Thad the SF and make Iggy the SG and move Willie to the bench, where he's semi-adequate instead of bad.

There are plenty of PFs I'd trade him for. Ed should do his job and call everybody, but my opinion is that nobody worth trading Iggy for is likely going to be available.

Wait! I'm lost lol

what's stupid?

Thaddeus Young as our future SF. It can work, while moving Iguodala to SG.

Trade him. He looked so scared against the Pistons, just like he did against Lebron at the end of the regular season...

I'd like to keep AI2, but it all depends on what we get back. Personally I see AI2 at SG and Thad at Sf as our future building blocks with Lou.

He wasn't "scared", he was just going against maybe the best perimeter defensive player in the NBA. Give Prince some credit he is a terrific defensive player.

Also even though Iggy struggled with this shot he almost had a triple double and did other things to win the game. He knocked down 3 of 4 clutch free throws to seal the win plus he grabbed the rebound off the Rasheed miss.

Iggy was needed to score and didn't produce. He missed dunks, missed layups, and had his shot blocked a few times. We don't need him to be a role player getting rebounds and some simple assists. :wavefinger:

OMG if we had Kevin Martin instead of Iggy we would have a legitimate chance of making it to the Finals. His scoring, 3 point baskets, and superior free throw shooting would be EXACTLY what we need on the perimeter to compliment Andre Miller. Also Andre Miller would be allowed to run the offense from the middle of the floor THE ENTIRE GAME instead of splitting time with Iggy in the middle ultimately raising Miller's assist totals and requiring him to score less with Kevin Martin on the wing shooting AND slashing.

IDK if many people are going to agree with you on this, but I'd rather have Martin then AI. This team needs a scorer and AI just is not that. A good player, but he is not to be trusted with getting his own shot.

Lol. All I have to say is who is in the playoffs? Martin is not better than Dala. The only thing Martin is better then Dala is his scoring and thats only because he shoots 3's better. Dala gets more rebounds, almost twice as many dimes, twice as many steals, is much better at defense and Martin is a string bean. Martin scores more. Big whoop. He makes 1 more 3 pointer and 1 more free throw a game than Dala. I love how rebounds, assists and steals dont matter when it comes to Dala. We would not be going to the finals if Martin and Dala switched places. I wish Dala could sign a contract like Mike Richards so hed be here for another 12 years so you would go root for another team.
Andre Miller is a bad 3pt shooter.

my only argument to this is that martin might fit this current team better as its clear we struggle in halfcourt sets and have a lack of outside shooting...with thad young emerging as the future sf, it makes sense to look for a player that rounds out the roster better...iggy does alot of things that i believe thad will be able to do down the road...

im not advocating trading iggy now bc hes an integral part to our success and what he brings on defense is what makes him a nice player...but down the road in a year or two when thad is ready to take over the lead role, i wouldnt be opposed to trading iggy for a more natural shooting guard
