When Phoenix traded Kurt Thomas to Seattle last year, it was for the purpose of cap relief for Phoenix down the road. However, their was a expensive price Phoenix had to pay. They had to give Seatttle a ist round pick in 2008 and 2010.

Any team that wants to dump a player on the 76ers for the puprose of cap relief, I am demanding that Stefanski ask that team for the same compensation that Seattle received.

In the meantime Seattle is setup to a be a great team after 2 more years. In fact, if they use the 2008 draft correctly they can be very competitive next season with their 6 draft picks.Oklahoma is going to have a very exciting team shortly.Who will win the title ist, Oklahoma or the 76ers?

Seattle will need more than a year to be fine. 6+ players with <3 years of experience does not a good team make. They have issues with coaching being able to reel them in, and they will be like the Clips of some years ago when a slew of players will be playing for a contract.

The Sixers don't need to make any moves to acquire anyone huge, they can manage their capspace and draft smartly and stay competitive. And considering this year's showing in the playoffs, they might be able to pinch the market a bit better than if they didn't make it and had this space.

The 76ers may be be giving Detriot a rough time, but on paper, our team needs 2 good starting players, which tells you how far we are from a title. We also need a good bench player.Boy, I miss Roy Tarpley. A 6ft 11" PF that was unstoppable. He use to kill us in the Spectrum.
