Probable Starters

I have no idea what to expect in this game. We could get blown out... we could blow them out. We could be down double-digits at half and come back to win. They could be down double-digits at half and come back to win. Well, I've predicted the Pistons to win 3 times and we won 2 of them hence...
My Prediction: Pistons by 5+

[1]Boston Vs. [8]Atlanta: Series is tied 2-2
[2]Detroit Vs. [7]Philadelphia: Series is tied 2-2
[3]Orlando Vs. ???: Await winner of DET/PHI series
[4]Cleveland Vs. [5]Washington: Cavs lead series 3-1
Western Conference Playoff Match-ups
[1]LA Lakers Vs. ???: Await winner of UTA/HOU series
[2]New Orleans Vs. [7]Dallas: Hornets lead series 3-1
[3]San Antonio Vs. [6]Phoenix: Spurs lead series 3-1

The Iggy vs. Prince matchup is killing this team. Mo has to adjust.
I'd consider starting this group....
Miller
Iggy
Thad
Smith
Dalembert
I go with Smith over Reggie Evans because Reggie shouldn't be rewarded for that stupid retaliation foul in game 4 and Smith has had a few nice moments.

I dig that lineup. Something, anything!
Hey meanwhile, might anybody be willing to help me format this image into an avatar?

I'm not very tech-savvy and it's time to change the mojo. Weeks ago, I asked for this on the graphics request thread, but no dice. I'm feelin the love. Feelin the city. And feelin the 6'10" UCLA product on JB-S's sig. Grazi.

The Sixers can win this series they let the last game get out of their hands. The first half they outplayed the pistons and the second half they came out flat. The Pistons played well the second half but the Sixers were def in position to win. If they can put together their first half from game 3 for an entire game they can win this one.

Miller
Iggy
Thad
Smith
Daly
they could get it done if mo has the guts to change the lineup a bit....my prediction: Sixers have a 6 point lead at the half (45-39), dominate the third quarter, coming out with an 18 point lead in the 4th. Sixers hold on to win the game, 103-94.
Iggy- 4-6- 12 pts, 9 rbs, 12 assists

A wise man indeed. My optimism would lead to me to say the Sixers by 7, but this is a toss up.

By the way, Roletagg, I agree with the other posters that you gotta check out more Roots albums beyond Ill-Halflife. Start with their first ever, Organix, and work your way to more recent stuff like Phrenology and Game Theory. Havent heard the brand new one yet, but it sounds good. Meanwhile, I saw Questlove dining at Morimoto last week... Big ups to the Roots.

The ball goes to Thad. Thad scores, Thad rebounds, Thad picks up the loose balls, Thad scores on the break, Thad taps in a rebound. Maybe, the 76ers can win this way. Try the Thad way. Are you game Mr Iggy?

Agreed, but why limit Thad to loose ball, hustle plays?
For weeks, Bodner's been begging to see some actual set plays run for Thad.
Can't hurt!

I'm fine with Mo keeping the startering line-up unchanged. I'm all for some extended stretched with Thad at SF during the flow of the game.
Hopefully we can get the ball to Sam and Thad in positions where they can score, and we fluster the Pistons with active defense. Should be another unpredictable game. Either way, game 6 back in Philly should be hyped.

both teams' play has been so erratic its gotten to a point where its on a play by play basis on whos the better team. Frankly, i think we still have a chance to take this series and i think detroit is thinkin we have discounted ourselves out because we might be deflated. they are in for a rude awakening if thats the case. just my feeling tho.

Does he look like Allen Iverson??? Does he look like Carmelo Anthony??? Does he look like Kenyon Marton?? Those are all max players and the last I checked, the three of them are done for the season.

We are done. I will enjoy the rest of the series. But we are done. Detroit knows how to beat us, they have their swagger back. Our best player looks like he is scared and has no confidence. We are a young team and will get better, but Detroit is about to show us why they are the 2nd best team in the East and why they can hold their own in the west too.
OT: Larry Brown would have been a perfect fit for Denver.

I agree, Eyeamok.
They had their chance to do something decisive in this series, and they blew it. Truly apologize to be negadelphia here, but you can't squander opportunities in the playoffs in any sport. Just ask the Suns. After blowing that game 1, they simply couldn't recover mentally. Conversely, the opposition wakes up, and it's all downhill.
They had the Pistons on the ropes. Up 14, they had DET looking like team turmoil. Suddenly Mo yanked Lou + Smith prematurely, just when that unit was really clicking in the 2nd quarter, and the entire series shifted. The Pistons finished the 1st half on a mini-run and gained back momentum for good.
IMO, that substitution, coupled with leaving the starters in for ridiculously too long in the 3rd (amidst a lack of creative set-plays) gave this series away. It's a shame, really. They had the mojo. They were riding a wave. It was getting magical. If they held on to win game 4, I'm convinced they would've won the series. But this series effectively ended with that 25 point-swing over the course of the late 2nd

The Sixers lose the series if no adjustments are made.
But I still think we have a solid shot if Mo's rotations are changed a bit.
The main problem is the Iggy/Prince matchup. I think that putting Young on Prince, despite his inexperience, at least negates the size advantage that Prince has and puts Iggy in a much more conventional matchup against Rip.
I'd also consider starting Jason Smith at PF instead of going with Reggie Evans.
