Had I a vote, I would have gone with Chris Paul most likely.

This is Kobe's "Scent of a Woman" moment...to CP's "Malcolm X"...

(although that one screwed both Denzel and Spike)

wow that sucks if cp is denzel. he's got at least another "hurricane" moment. he'll probably be gladiator'd by lbj.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Kobe becomes deservedly so the league's MVP. Seeing though, how good Chris Paul has played, you have to remark that Nash made out like bandits. He was not near as good as CP and came up with 2 titles.

Chris Paul deserved it way more. His team did not get even get half the time to gel as Kobe has, and Kobe had a way better supporting cast. Odom, Gasol, Fisher > West, Pargot, Chandler. MVP voting is a joke, just like Dirk getting it last year.

The NBA as a whole is a joke. Somehow I continue to watch it

Did you conveniently forget that Gasol came to the Lakers midseason when Bynum went down with an injury?

There was no guarantee that Kobe/Pau would click especially in light of the Shaq and Kidd midseason trades. Not to mention Pau never won a playoff game much less a series until he came to the Lakers.

CP3's crew was there the entire season.

I personally could care less if Kobe wins or doesn't win an MVP. These MVP awards are a joke in general I mean the media votes for them for goodness sakes. I just can't believe they put their haterade aside and voted for Kobe of all people.

Notice I didn't put Bynum in there as part of the Supporting cast? Wow, CP3s crew was there the whole season? BFD. Kobe has been playing with his guys for a hell of a lot longer, and the Lakers have been rebuilding around Kobe for how many years more?

What are you talking about? Pau was a great fit for the Triangle. He can pass, shoot mid range, and has a low post game. Pau a few years back was also putting up an MVP season himself. Everyone knew he would fit in, and the Lakers got a steal. Hence the few million nba fans wondering why the hell Memphis would pull the trigger.

Yes it is a big deal.. Gasol was only there half a season and he played in Memphis the worst team at the time. He went from worst to first here.. Gasol isn't a first option type player(and neither is Dirk but Dallas fails to see it)

The reason why Memphis gave up Gasol is because the owner is going to sell the franchise and he didn't want Gasol's contract and since West was part of the Lakers well the rest is history. See McHale/KG/Celtics.

What does rebuilding have to do with anything? Its about this season and this season only? Its one thing to say you don't think Kobe deserves to win MVP but to blindly discredit his impact on the team this season is just ridiculous.

Paul is much more valuable to the Hornets than Kobe is to the Lakers.

And LBJ is more valuable to the Cavs then both Kobe and Paul are to their respective teams. Hell, if we're talking strictly value to their teams, Miller should be an MVP candidate.

I honestly think if you take kobe off the lakers they'd be in the lottery this year and so would the hornets without paul.

But i agree we only had gasol for half the season and if you look at how we played before we got him after Bynum got injured... we played like crap.

If the hornets finished first in the west cp3 would be getting the mvp.

Kobe is the best player in basketball. He led his team to the best record in the best conference. He had a great year, I think he deserved it.

That said, Paul was incredible this year and he certainly deserved consideration. I would not have been upset if he won it.

The last MVP that I disagreed with was Nash's first MVP.

No way.
Btw, an mvp is someone who excells on both ends of the floor. CP3 has to learn that.

Which is why Nash won it 2 years in a row right? Cuz he excelled on BOTH ends?
