Bring him to Philly. We need him here so badly. Do you think we have what it takes for a trade? That we would be willing to give up, of course. I think Green, Carney, Smith, and the 16th pick are some movable assets.

No interest.
This team needs to be built around scrappy defense that creates turnovers.

Yeah, and if those guys are unable to get the ball into that big orange hoop, then this team will go nowhere.

Mike Miller is an overpaid shooter, that is soft on D he would help shooting but at what cost to the development of Young...we can get some shooters to sign here for the MLE and a an starting power forward.

Regardless of whether or not the Sixers trade Iggy, I'd love to try and get Mike Miller here once the PF position was settled.
I want a tough defensive identity as well, but I still think Mike Miller is a net positive for any team. He's more than just an outside shooter.
Based on what I've read of Memphis's strategy, I think MM would be available for relatively cheap too.

narducci actually wrote about obtaining mike miller this offseason in his blog the other day
I like the idea.. a lot actually. I think he is much more suited to be a starter than Korver.

Why the hell do we need Mike Miller? We just traded away Kyle Korver!

I believe you just answered your own question...
Yes, I know that the trade improved our fast break offense. But that will only take this team so far. Without a legitimate outside threat, our success will be limited. Did you watch the Detroit series? Anytime a player got into the paint, 2-3 Pistons were there to meet him. There was no respect shown for our shooters, and rightfully so. Something must be done about it...

In what world are late first round picks worth more than a quality nba starter?

Theze are those absurd comments I have grown to expect from people on this board.
No way in hell you are very likely to find someone with the tools Miller has with a mid or late 1st rd pick (especially if you are expecting an immediate contribution). If Miller isn't worth a 1st rd pick, was Korver worth a 1st rd pick AND cap space?
To compare Miller to Korver is an absolute joke. Mike Miller is a WAY better overall player than Korver. Korver is a shooter, that's it....it's a fact. Korver can't play D (despite what some people here believe), he can't put the ball on the floor on offense (except for maybe 1 dribble), he has no quickness (struggles to get free even off screens), his lateral speed on D is awful. Korver is a great shooter off the bench on a good team, that's all he offers. Yes he's a huslte guy, but that's doesn't get you much when you conssider his physical limitations. I'm not saying he doesn't have value, but lets not get carried away with respect to what he offers.
Miller actually has a very good all-around offensive game. He can shoot as well as Korver, he can drive to the hoop and get to the line, he can pass, he's a pretty good rebounder for his position. He's not a great defender, but he's adequate there...much better than Korver IMO.
Please no more direct or indirect comparing of Mike Miller to Korver. They are about as close as saying that Iguodala is similar to Kobe.

These comments are out of line. Please tone down such comments.

It's not apples to apples. Our pick is 16th. The Jazz one is (at least) one year later, and likely 9+ spots farther down.

Putting people down is not something that's tolerated. You've been here long enough to know that. Posts like that create unneeded tension. People could relax more if people weren't constantly belittling their opinion.
(not saying you constantly do it, but in general, there's far too much of it).

I'll pass on Miller unless it involves giving up very little like Willie Green and Lou Williams together.

We need a 4 so we can let Thad play the 3. If we were to get Mike Miller with him and Iggy on the wings that would force Thad into playing the 4 way too often for my taste.
