Unless I'm missing some big piece of news...

We never have even talked about Lee. Why would we want to give NY better pieces that fit their system and help improve them while overpaying for Lee?(we will overpay, he isn't worth what they are going to want IMO)

This isn't very appealing. Who cares about Lee? We need a PF that is an offensive threat. Lee is not the answer.

We already have Reggie Evans who provides the same thing Lee does, rebounding and energy.

We're better off getting a CV or TT.

I'd look into it... He's not a guy that can really be relied upon to produce offensively, but he's an obvious upgrade and brings intangibles that could work here.

OT... I met Joakim Noah at Midway airport in Chicago last week... Kind of hard to miss a 7 footer who looks like a rastafarian.

David Lee is a very productive player that I'd love to have on my team, but until the starting PF position is filled acquiring him would be a luxury that would misplace limited resources.

Evans off the bench > Lee off the bench. If we get the starting PF, then there is no need to talk about this.

No need to even consider him, unless you want him backing up Dalembert.

^^^^ I agree, I haven't seen nearly as much of lee as i have seen of evans but from the few games I have seen Lee play, I have been extremely impressed. I think he is a better version of evans and I would love to have him if the price is right

What we need are some top of the line players like boston did. Lee is just another good player but we should be going after Boozer and players of this caliber. If Miami is looking at him he must be available but expensive.

I would have liked to have Lee coming out of college. He is a significantly better player than Reggie (and I am a big Reggie fan even from his pre-Sixers days), but is not a top flight starting PF by any means. He gets his shot blocked or altered a lot. Now that he is a couple of years closer to FA I have less desire for him. He is the kind of guy that goes from under-rated to over-rated when he gets his first big contract. He will end up getting too much money from someone and I don't want that to be us (see: Thomas, Kenny).
