stumbled across this the other day:

"As of our last game of the season I am a restricted free agent ... meaning other teams can offer me a contract but the Sixers have first right of refusal. I'm going to sit back and soak up the process of listening to what everyone has to say and keep myself prepared for next year, no matter where it may be. The city of Philadelphia has embraced me in so many ways and I appreciate the continued support. But the NBA is a business and anything can happen, so who knows what the future holds ..."

Not playing his hand since he wants the most money he can get. THere really isn't anyone with money other than Memphis this year & he does not fit there. I think he'll sign & doubt that he'll really take the qualifying offer since that places his ability to make a big contract at risk for a second season if he gets hurt. Very few of the good players coming off of rookie contracts actually sign the QO. He could be a S & T I suppose & there are some on this board who are OK with that. I guess stranger things have happened. Your team will be in the same situation in a few years when all 50 of your high draft picks want to be paid.

I could def. see a large # of teams offering S&T deals with big sticker prices for him (partly because they can dump salary as part of hte deal). Of course we can refuse but it does make for a difficult situation.
