I'm sorry but I fail to see the logic here...
Why would you want three mid round draft picks? That 3 guaranteed contracts. It's also 3 roster spots and how much PT will those kids get next year?
Unless you're using those 3 picks to trade up into the top 10 then I don't think it makes much sense. I think the goal if this offseason is to improve the team - not get younger. While your plan would be ideal for rebuilding I think we should try to improve upon the success we had last year. That means keeping the core of young players inctact and adding a piece or two.

Steve, after the ist 5-6 picks I see a drop off in talent. Teams are not going to take our 2 or 3 picks for a top 4 or 5 pick, let alone a 1 or 2 pick.
We can pick up 3 players, where I already see two immediate openings as starters. Buddinger can play Sg, Speights Pf and the 3rd player can come off the bench, such as Jason Thompson. This would give the 76ers size, shooting and depth. I think these 3 players can help us.

Do we need a thread on every one of your ideas? Couldn't this have been a part of the 'Ed could be shutout of plan A' thread? I mean, this is two threads now both on 'What should the Sixers do if they can't draft Speights?'.

PostPosted: 03 Jun 2008 14:27 Post subject: My plan B
If plan A fails, which is the drafting of Speights, I would then try to make the best deal for Miller to pick up a ist round pick and players. I would only take Channing Frye as part of that deal, if only I can retrade him immediately. If I can get the 13th pick from Portland for the purpose of then trading Frye to Washington for their ist round pick, that would give the 76ers 3 ist round picks. I would not mind having picks 13, 16 and 18. Let's cover ourselves, if NJ or Sac take Speights.

Dear sir,
Sometime in between your discussions with Mr. Stefanaski, could you please figure out the error of logic in your posts within this thread.
Thank you and have a good day.

3 1st round picks? On top of one the youngest NBA teams in the league already? Are you serious?

Why would this team want Speights? Isn't he one of the biggest projects out there? Also, wasn't there something about Ed wanting a shooter already?

He is only a project to people who had not seen him play regularly.

Very big misconception. He stated the obvious and pointed out we needed a "PF, shooter, and maybe in the future a PG". People just highlighted the "shooter" part though for some reason.

Tell that to John Stockton picked 16 in 1984 and tell that to the Mailman picked 13 in 1985. Have some faith in Tony Di Leo. Paul Milsap and Monte Ellis were 2nd round picks. Jeremao Moon was not even drafted. The 76ers gave away Anthony Parker 10 years ago. Guys, have some faith. I am rooting for the 76ers since 1963. If I can have faith, you can have faith. I would believe in myself picikng 13, 16 and 18 in this draft, but I believe in Di Leo. We are years away from competing anyway, so what is the rush. Guys, learn to rock and roll. Sit back, put on some Metallica and lighten up.

Dear Sir,
Since you have seen him play regularly and are clearly more of an expert than anyone else here, could you please tell me what numbers we should expect from Speights in his rookie year and let's say his forth year.
I would also appreciate if you could answer my previous question regarding the fallacy of logic regarding your posts in this thread.
Thank you very much for your time.

Well I believe that you lost all credibility in regards to your eye for talent when you suggested taking Chase Budinger and making him a starter at SG. Now I and the rest of the people who aren't on the Speights bandwagon can rest easy at night knowing that we don't have to apply any value to the 10 games that you seen of Speights. I have seen Budinger play and he is DEFINITELY no NBA starter right out of the box. Not even close.

Dear Sir,
While I found your video very entertaining, illogical reasoning is nothing that should be scoffed at.
Please Mr. Sendem or anyone else, correct me if i am in error.
premise: player P1 is already taken by team T1. Team T2 acquires players P2 and P3 from teams T3 and T4 in addition to selecting player P4 after P1 was selected prior to P2, P3, P4.
conclusion: without a trade with T1 it would be impossible for T2 to have player P1 at this given time.
Thank you very much and have a good day.
