With The 12th pick , The Charlotte Bobcats pick Nicholas Batum . I'm sure it's a surprise to many but we feel that he has the athleticism to be a lock down defender and we think he will project to being a shooting guard. We are still open to trading Jason Richardson for expirings and draft picks

Your diligent Sixers GM here. Still waiting for Portland & GS to respond to the Miller trade proposal & for the #14 proposal respectively. Also is there anyone from #17 to #30 that is interested in trading a late 1st round pick forthe Utah #1 & possibly some salary relief? Let me know.

For a number of reasons, the New Jersey Nets are looking to move the 21st pick of this draft. Please make your best offer for it and it perhaps it will be yours.

I'm not all that interested in the Utah pick but I would be interested in something along the lines of Marcus Williams and pick #21 for pick #16. Thoughts?

TGP,
That's a decent offer. Keep looking for other offers. I'll wait until closer to the pick before I decide.

TGP, what would it take from the Hornets to get the 21st pick?

PORT passes on all of the above trades, and selects with the 13th pick in the Draft (and at this point let me say, I would give my left nut to actually be the GM of this PORT squad):

D.J. Augustin, from the Univ. of Texas.

Nice pick, Sec-106... An intriguing mock thus far...

The Sonics are extremely interested in jumping into the fray at this juncture in the draft:

GS, PHX + PHI — Luke Ridnour, Chris Wilcox, and #24 are all possible assets on the table for your pick.

Corwin, I would entertain Wilcox for #16 again... Let's talk.

HEre is the latest results, like I said, I'll be out of town for the next few days. Make your picks on time, and I will update the board when I can and post it every so often.

Also, the Kings are still trying to get another first round pick by using Brad Miller. Toronto and Freshie, any interest?

Hey tk76 -

I have an offer your PG-starved Denver can't refuse... Trade ID #4656786

Luke Ridnour for #20 + filler (Chucky Atkins+ Steven Hunter)

#16 is not/never has been on the table for Wilcox. Try asking for something else.

I would do Josh Boone and the #21 for Julian Wright.

....

Sorry, I'm really low on Ridnour. He probably is as good as the average player you get at #20 (a servicable back-up), but I would rather go after someone who has some upside (which Ridnour has none.) Also, and AI/Ridnour back court would be horrible. I would much rather get a bigger combo guard like Jack to put next to AI.

There should be some interesting names at #20. definitely some bigs that can be groomed to replace Camby.

This is a deep draft when it comes to project PF/C's. pretty weak at PG/SG talent- although some decent 2md rounders at SG (Foster.)

Sounds like a base for a deal I could work with, but I want to wait to see if who I'm looking for is still there at #21.

And on a separate note, since player like Chase Budinger and Tywon Lawson have dropped out of the draft, they can't be taken. Right?

As a heads up, I am due to make the 21st selection this weekend. I will, however, be on a little vacation at that point so I'm looking to pull the trigger on a deal for the #21 before Thursday Night rolls around.

New Orleans has some interest but they're dragging their feet. Anyone with a set of cajones want to step up and make a deal??

TGP,
I'm still considering the #16 for #21 swap but I want to see who is there at #16 first. Marcus Williams is not the filler I want though. I don't like any of the other of your first contract players other than Sean Williams. I'm also not willing to move down 5 spots for a second rounder. Would you part with a future 1st?

Just saw that Joe Alexander is still on the board. If he's still there at #16 after Phx picks, I'd be willing to entertain offers for him. This guy has slipped in our draft & is being considered as high as #6 with the Knicks pick according to Chad Ford.

I will not give up Sean Williams in order to move up 5 spots in the middle of the first round. As for future first rounders, I'd consider it but given the state of my team, I'd have to have lottery protection for next year.

Also, does everyone else have to log in each time they visit the board now?? I log in, I check "automatically sign me in each visit" and yet I'm signed out every time I visit this site. I'm guessing the new board still has it problems.

Finally... can anyone else believe the draft is next Thursday??? WOW!
