A tough pick because Mags and Brand's status for next year is in the air.

Westbrook's stock is supposedly rising, he is from UCLA and fills a need on the Clips, so I am going with him for now. A lot could change depending on whether Brand opts out or not.

Give me Kevin Love. He would be an excellent back-up at either the 4 or the 5 spots from Chris Kaman and Elton Brand. His ability to pass the ball will fundamentally help both Maggs and Thorton. And it's insurance of Elton Brand opts out. If they want PG support. They can trade for our pick at #16 and draft D.J Augustin, who has the most potential out of any of the guards, including Derrick Rose. Augustin, who averaged 6 APG. is the best passer in all of college basketball, combined with his ability to score and the Steve Nash comparisons aren't far off. I think Rose is Andre Miller at the next level.
Will Kevin Love develop to be an All-star PF? I don't know. But you can do a S/T deal with Elton Brand on July 1st. for Iguodala and Augustin. Work it out somehow, but I think Clips/Sixers are a great matchup on draft night

The Clips are supposedly trying to trade up to the three spot in hopes of grabbing Mayo. That would be a much better move for the Clips than going after Arenas. The T'Wolves could then grab Lopez at 7 who would be a nice finesse, high post complement to Jefferson's strong low-post game. This makes too much sense for these two derelict franchises to ever work it out properly.

Arenas is still young. If he fits he is more of a proven commodity than most of the high lottery players.

The vote is close. Anyone still need to vote? The poll for pick 8 will go up later today.

Agreed, except I am not too fond of what Arenas has proven, plus he will be looking for something in the max contract range. I have not seen any proof that Arenas has or ever will fully recover from his injury last year, he looked pathetic most of the time when he came back to play. I am not a fan of the way Arenas's game and Mato looks like the real deal at SG.

Mayo could be a superstar, or he could be Jamal Crawford with a worse attitude. I'm not a huge Arenas fan either- at least not for the Sixers, but if his health is not a long term issue then he is undeniably an elite NBA player and could be part of a contender if he is put in the right situation.
I think a healthy Areas, Cat, Thornton, Brand and Caveman could be a contender.
