Guess this is the new one.

BTW. Heres an unrealistic Trade Idea that hasnt been discussed.

Do the Zach trade then send: Carney, Daly, 16, Utahs 1st and the 6th overall pick for Amare

Miller
Iggy
Thad
Zach
Amare

Unrealistic but still a fun fantasy. That team would have terrible defense but we could score in the paint at will. Add a shooter off the bench to spread the floor and your golden

What's the deal with Iggy's contract negotiations?

Detroit is looking to mix things up this off-season...

Any chance Philly decides not to pay him the big bucks he wants and would be interested in a sign and trade with Detroit?

If Brand is out of play, and ATL matches Smith, what level of interest is there in a trade for Marion (who, let's assume, doesn't opt out)?

What gets that deal done?

Eh...I wouldn't be that into it. Seems like an ok fit, but maybe not the best move for our development. I'd rather get some of these kids minutes

Marion is not an inside presence so we'd be "settling" but it's a move I'd consider (ONLY if we can't get Brand or Smith) because of the giant expiring. Add that to Miller's expiring and we come back with money to look at next year's models.

Trade partners
Portland- Miller or Iguodala make some sense...matching $$ is more difficult.

Miami- Miller makes sense if they want to win now, and I could see a Wade/Iguodala/Beasley combination being effective as well...a bit undersized.

Toronto- Iguodala makes sense in a S/T for them, but I'm not sure if Bargnani/Kopono for Iguodala would work, but it gives them a nice group of players in Calderon, Iguodala, Bosh, O'Neil. Don't know if I'm crazy about AB, but he gives them more scoring as a PF next to Sam...they'd lose some defense in that exchange, but he'd give them a much more versatile offense.

Cleveland may be a partner for Miller...he's a big upgrade over what they have, but I'm not sure how much that improves the club overall.

Orlando makes sense for Miller, but I don't think they are big players in trading this off season.

I think they both will draw some interest, I just hope they don't hold on to Miller too long and get less value later for him than what he has now.

Sixerfan reported some talks about Marion for Miller and Evans. I'm interested in that deal as long as we go after Hinrich or one of Memphis' PGs.

From a Miami standpoint, that deal makes some sense. Chalmers isn't ready to start and Miller is an expiring deal just like Marion. I imagine the Heat could use Haslem and others to try and upgrade their center position or get a solid swingman so that Beasley could shift to PF.

Wade/Cook
Beasley/Davis
Haslem/Evans

Here are two very non-homer trades in terms of dealing Miller (and attempting to also dump Green) that I posted on another thread. The question is... do we see enough value in them to make them?

Miami: Marion for Miller/Green/2009 Utah #1

I like this one better... but I'm not sure they'd do it unless we include the first (and then, still not sure). I'd rather not give up Evans at this point (I want Speights to learn how hard he works), but it wouldn't stop be from making the trade.

Milwaukee: Williams/Gadzuric/filler for Miller/Green

We get an expensive point guard (who likes to shoot too much) and an vastly overpaid backup center for our expiring point and Green, who is complete redundant to Bell on Milwaukee's roster. I'm not sure I like this at all, but wanted to see what people's reactions were.

How many #1 picks are you planning to include for Philly to take Z-Bo?

I'm not really interested in zach either unless there is no other option and even then I would have to really think about it. Chris Wilcox should be a guy stefanski considers going and getting. He is young and definately a force inside.

Eric Snow for Willie Green and Utah pick

Cavs get some immediate lucury tax relief. They save 8 million this season. They get a 1st rounder in the deal and lose nothing. They also get a percieved "good bench player" in Willie Green.

Sixers lose a pick, but gain a little under 3 million in cap space for next offseason by dumping Willie.

EDIT: Forgot... Sixers also gain 3.4 Mill in salaries they can use to try to pull off a sign and trade this offseason.

Hey...Milwaukee wants to get rid of CV apparently per wiretap.

Why not Willie for CV straight up? If they can't get a better offer. CV would bring offense off the bench at the PF/C spot, and would free us up to trade one of Smith or Evans.

Thoughts?
