DNL reported that Aaron Mckie was arrested for lying on a gun permit license.

The application asked if he is under a restraining order against anybody, which he answered "no," which was a lie. Now he is being charge with a misdemeanor and a felony.

Could this be a threat to his coaching career or something small that will get smoothed over quickly?

Probably something small that gets overlooked quickly.

(unless something comes out to prove why he was trying to buy the gun).

I can't blame him for wanting a gun in Philly. He is a very wealthy man. I remember seeing him drive a new Landcruiser before he was drafted and a S600 Benz back during his playing days. He's only protecting himself against the opportunist out here. He probably forgot about that restraining order. I remember he was in the news a while ago with some domestic issue. The restraining order probably stemmed from that. I know that I wouldn't remember the existence of a restraining order if a person that filled it did so unnecessarily. It would be something that I would probably laugh at when it was issued.  But Mckie probably pissed his pants when he found out that same frivolous restraining order finally came back around to bite him. :o

I was thinking the exact same thing. Even NBA players have to be "strapped". Anything can happen, at any given time. This will be resolved, and McKie will resume coaching in no time.

Can't disagree at all with the above.
