Any trade market for Reggie Evans?

So once the dust finally settles and Brand officially signs, it would appear we have a bit of a log jam in the front court and very thin on the wing, especially now with Carney gone. It would seem that Reggie Evans would be the odd man out since there are two young bigs with some promise to be developed.
So my question is do you think we can move Evans and get some worthwhile in return? The playoffs were a pretty good showcase of what kind of energy he can bring to a team, albeit with glaring weaknesses in his game. Not to mention, somebody will paying Ronny Turiaf $17mil.
Also, even if we can trade him, should we? Brand just basically missed an entire year, Speights have never played a game, and Sam (while better about it) will still go on fouling sprees and find himself out of the game for prolonged periods of time. So maybe having a fifth big wouldn't be so bad.
Thoughts...

There isn't. As I understand it, Ed would never have made the Carney move if he could have traded Evans or Green, but absolutely nobody's trading for players with contracts that run through the 2010 offseason unless they're part of a monster deal.

Evans will probably have more value around the league as his contract shortens over time & as teams start to suck in the rebounding & energy areas. I expect that he'll be in some demand for some soft team as the trade deadline approaches. Basically, I would think Philly would want a smaller & shorter contract. Actually, that fits the description of Steven Hunter!!!

Jaric + Warrick/Lowry for Evans + J Smith seems fair to me

Vladimir seems to be expendable for LA who just lost Turiaf, a poor man's Reggie. There's already a thread about it, but it would be an upgrade for both teams...to a point.

We don't have a logjam right now. And if Evans is traded, we would be very thin up front. We need five capable big men on this team, so unless another one is added, Evans shouldn't be traded. If he can get us the shooter we need and then we sign a decent big man for the min, then I would be up for it. But we definitely need all the size we have right now.

Evans has next to no value around the league. The only two spots that I could see him ending up would be Charlotte (LB loves guys who rebound, have no offensive game, and love to smell LB's children) or Orlando.
In either case, I doubt he brings much back in return.

Evans is the perfect bench player. He comes in and provides energy and passion. He also doesn't complain about minutes etc.,,, As witnessed by his spirited play in the Detroit series we should keep him around. He has more value to us than he would in a trade.

I wouldn't trade Evans just to trade him. He is a valuable player that brings rebounding and toughness to the interior. He wears players out by the 4th quarter. If all we are going to get is slop, then I say keep him. If you could get someone good, then trade him.

I bet the same people who say Evans has no value are the same people who said no way Brand is coming to Philly. Teams don't like high energy rebounders who can play some D. Atleast not for 4 1/2 million anyway.

Agreed. I'm not looking to just ditch him for the sake of getting rid of Evans. I would strongly consider a Matt Carroll deal but Carroll's contract scares me more than just a little bit.

Carroll's contract, while long, isn't really that bad. It's a rare declining salary contract so by the time it expires, he's only going to be getting about 3.5 mil that last year. That's a bargain connsidering what guys will be making by then. Also, it appears that last year is a player option, so assuming he's still an effective player at that point, he could opt-out of. If so, that means it's really only 1 yr longer than Evans current deal.
