Am I right about the Igoudala situation
There is only one team that can pay him more than the MLE and thats Memphis and they can only offer 11 million

Re: Am I right about the Igoudala situation
I think GS has some money $7 or $8 million as well, but not enough to scare the Sixers.
Unless Chicago or Atlanta renounced all of their RFA's then no one has the money to tempt Iguodala. The Clips were the only ones and they would've done it for spite.

I think Memphis has a lot more than 11 million, but they said they are not going to spend it this off season. According to this link below they have almost 20 mil in cap space. The cap is around 58.68mil and Memphis has only 39.1 mil committed.

Re: Am I right about the Igoudala situation
Still if Memphis was smart then there not interested in Iggy
they already have Mayo at two guard, Gay at the small forward.
So I wouldn't see Memphis being interested,
and they will probaly hold on to there cap space..
they should probaly play out next year draft a Center
and sign a good power forward in 09 or 2010
So Sixers with Memphis out of the picture,
I would say Iggy is more guranteed then signed.
Also 76ers have leverage due to the lack of cap space throughout the league so we won't overpay Iggy if were not completey stupid. Clippers shot themseleves in the foot in Iggy sweepstakes for Camby which is meh replacement for Brand. I'd say there is 100 percent chance Iggy signs back here and he should glady for a 5 yr. 64 Million Dollar deal.
Once we do that we need a three point shooter trade Evans for Radmonovic which is good for both sides of deal gives us shooting and we should try to sign a shooter Michael Finley would be a good player off the bench.

I don't think I Trust The Process anymore!
We are the originals! We are the Philadelphia 76ers!

we should worry more about Iggy taking a qualifying offer and becoming an unrestricted FA next year.

Taking the QO would probably cost AIG 6M+ and expose him to a huge risk. I don't think the parties will be that far apart.
From Tom Moore (Phillyburbs Sixers Blog):
What is a fair price for Iguodala?
Sixers president Ed Stefanski confirmed that he has had discussions with restricted free agent swingman Andre Iguodala. Not surprisingly, Stefanski said in an e-mail response that he ?won?t talk about the negotiations.?
Last October, Iguodala turned down $57 million over five years from the Sixers because he believed he was worth roughly $65 million. After a pretty good regular season (19.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.1 steals) and a tough playoff series against Tayshaun Prince and the Pistons (13.2 points, 33.3 percent FG, 14.3 percent 3-point shooting), what do you think is a fair price for Iguodala in today?s market? Would $50 million over five years be reasonable for a versatile player who should be more comfortable where he belongs ? as a second option to Elton Brand?

8M over 5 years does not look like that big of a gap. The difference beteen stating at 9.75M and starting at 11M. That a gap of 1.25M for the satrting salary doesn't seem that wide a chasm.

Re: Am I right about the Igoudala situation
Just give Iguodala 5 years 60 million or 6 years 70 million.
I'm pretty sure Ed's going to sign him, I mean ED did give Richard Jefferson a 6 year 72 million deal, now it just depends if you think Jefferson is equal with Iguodala.
And I'm pretty sure Iguodala think he's equal with his alum Jefferson.

Re: Am I right about the Igoudala situation
I'm hoping Ed frontloads the deal. Give Iguodala more now, and then help the cap situation down the line. The team is still well under the tax.
